Why didn't they release these here (apart from the weather)? I think they were Spain and South America or whatever only.

Amphicar, made in Germany in the sixties. Not only a convertible but it works in water as well.

Although the *op *ear Espace was clearly a lash up only done for comedy* effect, it made me realise how few convertibles seat more than 4.

My family of 5 rules out any chance of a floppy top sunburn on the top of my head.

No, it was used in homage to this:

The Maxi diesel came slightly later, but went back to the normal two headlight layout. Unfortunately it was written off by a runaway milkfloat, piloted by a chap called Ernie. That was the end of that.

I came so so so so close to buying a ritmo convertible a while back. Love them. They have a "hatch" in the hood so very practical don't you know.

It never got a proper release I think? I've seen a few in the flesh and think they look nice enough.

It did officially come out here... As did the owners.

I think the Corsa floppytops were made by Holden down under, where the awful thing was sold as the Barina cabriolet

Must have had some quality concrete in the sills of this one I did earlier, though hammered relentlessly it never broke in half.
