I'm playing again, because I'm also at work, so can use a different postcode (and county too, and that's always the rule with shagging girls isn't it? as long as it's a different county to where you girlfriend is is fair game right?) and I see nothing in the rules that says I can't!

 

First result is a ford mondeo at £260 but reserve not met, so that doesn't count

 

Second is a FORD KA BASE!

I have been doing this for ages and there is (almost) never anything around here that is even vaguely worth bidding on - although I did find my Puma that way - less than 2 miles away.

Looks clean around the fuel filler, wonder if the V in the plate should be a W?

I thought the real genius of this game was to use your fiendish knowledge of shite and shiters, to find something so utterly unappealing, close by, ending soon, that you just know a particular frequenter of this parish would not be able to resist bidding on. And which, if the gods are smiling on you, they'll win, allowing you to indulge in endless vicarious pleasure while you witness colleckshun of this undesirable chod, starting on your manor and leading to a tale of woe stretching all the way to The Bridge.

 

On this basis, I believe the originator of this game to be Keymaster, and he didn't even adhere to the 25 mile rule

I think that one of the main reasons it went so cheap is that nobody actually searches eBay for NK51YCV, preferring to search for such irrelevancies as the model name etc.

The other reason is that it's in Somerset where prices still seem to be out of step by about 30 years for some reason, which is why you can still get a whole car for less than fifty quid.
