Do you donate before selling

Money, blood, organs or sperm?  More precision, if you please.

Putting on my Mr Monk disguise... I suspect the OP wishes to advertise a car for sale but being a new member, would like to know what the "form" is, like should he make a contribution to the Forum before drafting his ad.

Of course it's still possible I could be wrong...

You don't have to pay, but it'd be nice if you did donate something to the forum fund.

Hi OP personally if your car sells on here id whack 10-20 quid into to the fund considering daveb puts his own time and cash into what it is a throughly decent site.

I sold my E38 with no fuss to someone who actually wanted it. And ive been meaning to sling a tenner in the pot for a bit anyway so i have!

:P

You can still post your car for sale here.

Go to your opening post -> edit -> use full editor

That will allow you to change the title and select the 'for sale' topic prefix.

Then let us know here what you want to sell and we'll usually have a right old roffler and mock it a lot.

If everything fails, use our unique method to group fund shite.

I do appreciate your courtesy to consider making a forum contribution from the proceeds.

You are a gentleman and a scholar!

Bekos suggestion of 5% is no good. What is Dave supposed to do with 84 pence?

I'd flog what you can then pool your resources to find a decent Mondeo diesel. They get a lot of bad press but if they are looked after they can be fairly reliable, you just got to avoid the clapped out shit. Near me I spyed a '05 estate, full history 150k £800. Looked tidy, at that mileage it's very likely to have had the DMF done already possibly also had the injectors replaced. Arguably a better buy than one hovering around the 100k mark.

Still you could always look for the petrol version, the 2.0 does an easy 40+ to the gallon on the motorway and probably low 30's average. Finding one that's not burning oil due to gummed up oil control rings on the other hand might not be easy. The previous MOT fails might give you warning of this. That said the 2.0 is less prone than the 1.8 to this.

I once donated but I've never tried to sell anything.

I like to rub one out just before the buyer arrives then shake his hand...... It establishes dominance in the negotiations.
