Nissan and Renault not in the Car adverts though.

I'm going for a 405 Sri.

Not that I have actually seen one for a decade.

Edit: I remember that group test (I used to have a Mi16) and I think that is a 16v Bx therfore a Bx Gti is still a possibility.

60 miles in, fine so far! (Except that the bastard radio doesn't work)

Plenty more to go...

Why does everyone assume I have something to do with this sick scheme? As far as I remember I barely even encouraged him to buy it... oh, wait

Essex registered BX in black = Win.

It's an Eastwood Motor Co car that lived locally until about five years ago. It was looked after by Steptoes in Shoebury.

That's some epic collection mission

Good effort, my last was 170 miles each way and people I know thought that was slightly unhinged.

Damn you Barrett, if it wasn't for you that BX would have been mine.

That looks fantastic, cap doffed. Having also done a collection mission that involved 12hrs on a coach, I'll just say 'Never again'

23:27 - Cobham Services achieved.

Going well still (apart from starting/idling which is a bastard). Are all BX headlights really shit?

I would have developed an enduring and meaningful relationship with my BX 14 RE (bought from Dunsdale garage in JohnK's locale) if I hadn't broke it.  Being 22 at the time and therefore a twat, I blamed the car.

I'd love another one.

And so, a mere seventeen and a half hours after leaving, I have arrived back home.

This BX is pretty good. It has many issues of course, but each of them seem fairly minor.

Well done for 1. surviving that long on a coach and 2. buying the BX.  I bet a sorted BX GTI is a properly fine cruiser.

I can see this one becoming another AS bike.

rear height adjusters are set up incorrectly, it won't idle properly and various bits of the interior are loose/missing. Otherwise I reckon it's a good 'un and it actually looks pretty good on the bare steels. 8.5/10 BXing.
