My 1973 Cadillac, Huggy Bear

GLWTS Eddy.

It’s a bloody good solid car this, one which can be used regularly (as it has been!) if you can afford the fuel!

I’d love it but I don’t think I can fit two land yachts on the drive together.

 unexpected. GLWTS Eddy, are the proceeds going to a CF?!

It's possible, but there's nothing definite on the horizon...

Bit of a shocker but GLWTS mate.

NOOOOOOOOO! I can't believe you are selling. It's gorgeous. I fear this is even longer/bigger than the Dolllop and I have enough trouble finding spaces to park that. If it's still available in a few weeks if/when I get my life sorted out (which will never happen - I've been trying for years!) I will get back to you.

Good luck with it!

I'd love a shot at it, but sadly is well out of my price range!

If you're after another, I've just seen this slightly more modern one for sale. Owned by an old lady too by the looks of it.

Seller seems nice. Possibly works in law enforcement.

Looks nice!  But, I haven't sold this one yet, and I've already had a 79 anyway, with the correct number of doors....

That's a surprising* attitude for someone living in Kentucky.

In truth it's about 19 feet long and 6'8 wide.  So most garages won't be big enough.

I've driven one of these, they aren't awkward to drive as you would think.

Great brakes and visibility. LHD not an issue, I've had several, you get used to it within a few minutes.

If you live somewhere flat i bet the mpg would be ok too.

No doubt they were fitted with emissions kit to the carb(s), distributor. Modifying that can result in BIG improvements in MPG and powah!

This being a 73 it’s a bit early for all the emission control crap, it was later 70’s stuff all that started really restricting output.

I’m not 100% sure about this car but my Mercury (also 73) has no emission control gear whatsoever. It can vary though depending on the state the car originally came from. California cars might very well have more than most others. Some even had cat converters back then.

I don’t think this car has any of that stuff?

Will I sustain Eddy's ongoing "I need another yank in my life" whining once it's sold?

I agree.

Junkman, yes I will miss Huggy but there will be something else... there's always something else!

You could go for an American CF Eddy, a GM G20 seies van, with JM approved engine

That right there is a great idea!

Dodge Tradesman perhaps!?

If Eddy bought a GMC van, he could paint it grey over black, with a red stripe, and call every one a 'foo' and how he pitted them lol

Actually that is a good idea, Felly and Dan.  Anything can happen!

Yay, you can see the family resemblance of the CF & GM vans too, and GM kept building them long after the death of the CF as well. I did post a salty priced one in the egay thread the other day, swb custom job with porthole windows, and it was brown

Feel free to keep tipping me off about American vans!  Who knows, there might even be enough left in the kitty to cover one.  Of course it would help if I actually had a sale on Huggy first...

If Eddy bought a GMC van, he could paint it beige over brown, with an orange stripe, and call every one a 'leaser' and how he pitted them lol

I did post some modern American van tat in day van spec in the egay thread, along with a comedic Lincoln Navigator, it looked like it was on castors
