JohnK's successful fleet reduction - It's Senator Day!

It's a lowly 2.5 Trig, so 12v. That's very much part of the appeal though!

You wont be thinking that when you try to overtake somebody in it.

I've seen icebergs with better acceleration.

My current mode of transport is seriously bloody grim ...

Forgot about the free one.

A free car means it doesn't count as part of the fleet as you didn't 'buy' it!

I thought you were over Rovers for now John?

I'm thinking this is going elsewhere and he's actually collecting another vehicle ....

No time to stop and take a picture... he needs to get it there before the tyres go flat!

She's definitely coming to live with me Chris and isn't going elsewhere... Not at least until she's through a test anyway!

Once she's tested up she needs a thorough clean. Then I will either offer her up here at cost price for somebody to take on or keep her for a bit as a cheap runner,

She drives ace!

Well she made it to the pub okay - the description of 'Yorkshire Lass' is accurate, particularly after that hoon around the Yorkshire Dales, even on crap tyres

And now outside the JohnK secret car hideout - for those cars Mrs JohnK need not know about

Joe's initial description that she's 'a bit of a minger' was accurate, but nothing a good clean won't sort

It's no secret I'm a K-Series fan and I really enjoyed my blast home in this.

Oh I don't know, it looks like you're quite excited by it :)

Re the Senator: git. A 24v is seriously on my bucket list.

Fortunately it's nothing to do with me, although it hasn't turned a wheel since 2011. I'm tempted to put a cheeky offer in, de-Mong it and get it back on the road.

... when you've run out of other projects, right? :D

I did fancy the spec of the 3000GT at one time, but they look a bit "generic 90's supercar wannabe" to me, whereas an SVX really floats my boat. I was looking for something like that when I ended up with the Audi S2.

Good job that Senator was far away from me as I was bloody tempted. I also noticed he kept dropping the price so obviously wanted rid. Well bought John!

You sir are a Shite hero....

I only wish I had the balls  permission to go out collecting such a variety of *quality motors.

Especially in the guise of fleet reduction!!

You must be very local to me if you're calling in the Yorkshire Lass! Fine looking Senator too, I used have a GSE Monza and these have always been on my radar.

I assumed it was a Senator since eBay's suggested links routine isn't all that clever and two of the books at the bottom of the page gave it away :-)

I read that as Audi A2 when I first read that which raised an eyebrow - S2 sounds much more like it.

London isn't that far away and you know I don't keep cars too long ...

Where abouts do you live spike? I reside in Redcar but also have houses/car storage in Guisborough and New Marske (hence the Yorkshire Lass!)

I need to give up this covert lark - I've drastically failed on two occasions now.

Did somebody say Senator collection?

Yes that can wait - another cheeky pickup to take place today ... Just round the corner this one though ...

Wtf, do you have unlimited storage or something?

Anyway, good luck mate, and increasing the fleet by 3 this week is some reduction :D

2 recovery trucks double up as parking spaces at my old mans which is helpful.

This is a non runner mind so will need some TLC.

I have always wanted one of these but I am put off a bit by the unreliability of some of my friends cars and the cost of repairs.

I'm surprised to hear that from you Mr_Cyl considering some of the cars under your current ownership ;)

You've got the disease bad. I prescribe 4 hours of welding, 1 session of changing the void bushes on a cortina and a 8 valve stem oil seals.

Top work John, like the top tip of storing extra cars on the load bed of the breakdown trucks!

Looking fwd to the senator collection, gr9 for motorway coppers in 1991.

I must buy 10 recovery trucks so I can store some more cars!
