If my circumstances were different, I would snap your hand off.

Please. Everyone just calm down.

Last year I spent Trigger's asking price on a service, cambelts & MOT....

....on a bloody Audi!

I've got it on ebay now. My best offer so far is £400.... Oh and IZ IT 4X4 M8? too...

Just buy a set of Quattro badges, anyone thick enough not to be able to work it out from the photos and description will never find out.

And tell them you've got the version which uses quattro braking, but Audi's amazing DuplexTM power for an OMG amazing 45mpg even at speeds illegal.

Just say yes, but like a Freelander you have removed the prop-shaft and VCU but its made it better for drifting

The thing is the Quattro is heavier, slower and has a lot more to go wrong so why would you want it anyway?

Cannot believe some clown offered £400 for it. Good luck with the sale, i don't know how you deal with ebay/gumtree folk i can't do it anymore. They broke me.

Is it an Audi Cointreau M8?

Because you can corner so fast your eyeballs pop out.

I've not had a huge amount of experience with 4x4 saloons so I don't know if it's any better than a Sierra, Cavalier etc but when I had my 20v Quattro, I just gave up slowing for corners. It was massively quick around town, because very hoonable.

Have you tried it on Audi forum, they would appreciate it over there ?

I've had one Audi Cointreau, which was 4.2 Audi A8. It was mega impressive although it had 300+bhp to drive all the wheels.

Yes I've had it on there, I've been told not to sell it for less than £850 but no one seems willing to give me that for it! Still the lad from the Orkneys has messaged me to say he will have it if he can collect it on the 12th. I've said thats fine as long as i can have a nonrefundable deposit. We'll see what happens...

It's a pity I never have any money 'cause I'd basically just buy all Trigger's old rammle long before it gets to the handbags at dawn stage.

All one make forum's are the same, they want their cars to rise in value so tell everyone they are selling to cheap, none of them will ever buy at the higher price themselves though,

Most forum members have a car so don't want or need another. I found Club Audi a decent lot but this was in the days (2001) before forums.

Trigger, drifting topic but have you found a good Audi forum?

I'm on the classic-audi forum who have been very helpful with accessing me with problems and parts for it, there's some knowledgeable folk on there who seem more than happy to point me in the right direction, towards the door!

Swap ya a nice tidy small blue Citroen AX :)

I need the cash tbh! The lad from north north north Scotland is still interested and should be leaving me a deposit either today or tomorrow hopefully before collecting it on the 12th and driving it the 750 miles home! I'm not taking it off ebay until i have the deposit though.

If the fella offering 300 notes is a 'Porsche Specialist', why not give him the option of px'ing a Porker? Cheeky twunt.

I'm amused by the gall of the chancers. You can't blame them mind you, everyone likes a bargain.

Fingers crossed the Orkney lad comes through.

BTW, that pinned up headlining, is it just the fabric covering that was loose? My 80 has a moulded headlining - because povvo spec!

Yes the foam is starting to rot so i've tried using the spray glue on it but it became unstuck again in the heat (what heat?) so rather than pissing about again it was easier just to buy some £4 pins of ebay!

The offers are getting worse.

I love that sort of thing because the next time that Porsche Specialist offers a 911 for £20,000 you can just mail him back and offer him £8,000 as clearly 40% of an asking price is fair game.

This is another one of those 'I wish I had the money' cars. Good luck with the sale Trig, she looks bloody good for the year and miles. That headlining would bug me though. Done that in various Jags, a Rover and a Sierra (although much less droopy). The jag was like a tent had collapsed inside the car :)

You may actually need an AX in your life!

Perfect example of a nice car that is only really appreciated by those without the money to buy it (us!)

Glad this has ended well for you.

Is he on here? I reckon that he will be welcomed with open arms if he starts with a 14 hour, live collection thread.
