I'm guessing you're further south in Scotland, making the journey doable in a day, so I may come down to your area the day before if a bed could be provided somewhere (or I find a B&B or something).

Right I better start planning my summer. I should be able to make this but probably only as a day visit. The biggest descision is which car. At the moment I have a choice.

Peugeot 204 diesel. Pro's It's cheap and at a push I could kip in it. Con's it will take me forever to get there.

Cavalier mk2 Better include it in the hope I find an engine or a crank in time, but still a bit boring

Finaly the Rolls. Pro's it's a Rolls and thats it really. Con's it is bloody thirsty, I doubt I could kip in it and if it rains not the best motor for muddy fields.

Will there be 2 convoys this year? One straight back to six's, and one roadtrip? The roadtrip in Wales was fucking excellent, but partly because I;d never been there before. Being closer to home I fancy going straight back and joining in the banter at the campsite this year. Plus, I'll only be sleeping over on Sat, I'm bringing Eva on Saturday, so I may as well get her ready and leave at <whenever people arrive at Chinnor> with her.

It's looking ever more likely that I might have passed my train driver's license by the time this happens. Provided I can still go (they don't let you take holidays for 6 weeks after passing) is it OK for me to bring my own train to run on the Autoshite-takes-over-a-railway event?
