Oh my god they are breading.

Tell us more, with pictures, to flesh out the misery.

Breading one might make it look better

They are awful. I went in to driving mine with an open mind as I'm actually a big fan of the Neon. But they are shit in every way.

I'm going to get one of these next year so I'm interested in knowing how shit they are.

And it is shit.

I agree, they are shit, this was mine

I kept it 2 months, got sick and tired of the asthmatic wheezy motor, the supertanker turning circle and the general rubbishness of it, the aircon was fantastic, I only bought it because it was the best car on the lot for a grand, I had just sold our focus and the car we were buying to replace it was a heap of shit.

I have just realised something, now the rest of the world probably knows this already but if you took the front wings off a PT Cruiser and chopped the roof off with a chainsaw you basically have a Plymouth prowler, don't you?

I think you might have to weld the back doors shut, too. But other than that, looks the same. Although the prowler is older.

EDIT: I just peeked at the wiki page for PT Cruiser, it's stated there that PT Cruiser's successor is the FIAT 500L. I didn't see that coming.

It's Ironic that the 500L has replaced this and the Multipla and is still uglier than both of them.

Right. That's it. I need to get my hands on one for my next video.

There's one here in Ludlow I can probably borrow for you at some point.

I have just realised something, if you drive a PT Cruiser you look like a right growler, don't you?

100% this.

I have even defended them on here but having actually bought and driven one I now know that I was wrong wrong wrong and that they have no redeeming features whatsoever.

There are cars I have grown to like, and cars I have slowly fallen out of love with, but with this every little thing just pisses me off.

We should form a support group 'Survivors of PT Cruiser Ownership'.

easily arranged ..... glad the love is still strong.....in other news I did 150 miles this morning in the PPE and enjoyed every minute no stress or back or leg ache just flick the cruise on and relax with a nice bit of enya in the CDplayer... and filled up with petrol on the way back to work out that I am getting 34 mpg bonus....

a nice bit of enya in the CDplayer

Now I no longer have a DAB or MP3 player in the car I must dig out my Enya - something capable of chilling me the fuck out after a gruelling day.

I like the look of them, I really do.

They're actually not as offensive as I thought now I see one without chrome tat by the shovel load.

Laser Wheels, 14 and 28 thanks.

I've sold both petrol and diesel versions of the PT Cruiser and I think they're quite good.  Mind you, I think the Neon qualifies as one of the Best Cars In The World.  If I won a Scratchcard, I'd buy a Sebring.  But then I'd have to actually but a scratchcard.   And the cost of those is close to a Sebring.

shame that wasn't a factory option.

I just remembered this very tastefully modified one I spotted, it nearly broke my camera

I've always fancied one of these.

I think this thread needs pics.  And Roffle details, as you're so clearly fed up of it already.  How much each?  Put me down for no. 16 at least, and probably more.

Can you tell I like the ol' PT?

I actually don't mind the way it looks it's just everything else that I despise.

Reading that thread on RR - thanks for the link, by the way - makes me think this may be the first car that I 'slam' if only because it would be impossible to make it drive any worse than it already does. But then I think it's just money I could spend on some quality* chod instead.
