Corsa near me that failed to go around a corner as these early Corsa Ds did.   It's probably entering its fourth month there.

Yesterday, whilst in Birmingham, I spotted this around the corner from Ma_Sterling's:

20250205_121210.thumb.jpg.707b7c2b97e06e17f7d7fb4e725b7c2f.jpg

It's a 1961 Bristol BLMC 5.3. It's always been covered with a car cover from when I can remember. This is the first time in 20 years I've ever seen it without a cover.

Whilst on the way back from dropping the Jag a few weeks ago I spotted this:

The Bristol is a good spot.  What part of Brum is it in?

Makes you wonder what's in the garage, if the Bristol is outside. Wooden ladders and a broken tumble dryer probably

Some of the driveway rotters local to me.

Some are older photos so the cars may look a lot worse now but all are still in these locations as far as I'm aware.   I pass the blue 740 estate a lot and that's barely visible now, the CX is probably a tad worse too as it's literally under a hillside on the Moors.

Wiki page on Bristol 407

( The DVLA record is bollocks, Bristol were never, ever a part of British Leyland Motor Corporation ).

I don't even know what this is, but it's certainly older than most dumped cars!  Down a dead end lane.

Could be an FX3 Taxi, although odd it has a passenger door. Most had a luggage platform I think.

It's possibly an FL1 "Hire Car" rather than an FX3, hence passenger door, no luggage platform, no interior partition,  and no taxi sign box on roof.    Quite rare even when new.  Nice old things.

Thanks for the comments, I'm sure now it is an FX3 or FL1, which dates it to 1948-58.

This Puma used to be seen driving around on the beach all the time, now it seems to have beeen stuck in the same place since before Christmas. I'm not sure if someone is living in it...

This morning I saw this Pug abandoned on the traffic island next to Pevensey Roundabout

Not some much dumped as crashed - in November.  Photo is from Christmas Eve, it was still there last week.

None of the 3 vans has moved in ages.  I thought the house was abandoned too, until I bumped into a fella coming out of a gate at the side, loading stuff into a Merc Vito of similar vintage.

He's what I'd probably be like without any kids or a partner.
