Not from an ad - but the receptionists in our office recently emailed us all to 'stop leaving dirty cockery in the sink'

Seen someone who thought they saw an advert for an 'Imprezza'.

The 147 has a toe bar as well.

Odd, I always thought it had two Zs too. You pronounce it with two Zs but spell it with one. I have learned something today. About a car I absolutely hate.

On the subject of actually funny typos, I still get my lol kicks just thinking about the 406 coupe styled by Paninifarina. In my office this has just become the word for Pininfarina and to all intents and purposes is now correct

That's how it was spelt on the ad......

A mate sent me a link to a mobility scooter a while back which was advertised as a 'molebiltty shooter'

I now call them that

Yep, have a 2001 local rag clipping from the car classifieds somewhere in storage.

The garage advert proudly states: "Opening customer a cunts a pleasure!"

I shit you not!

To be fair they live near Glasgow. Say lawn mower in a thick Glasgae accent. Loan more...

My wife used to work in a Liverpool Primary school, and teaching spelling by phonics was really hard, until, they hit on the "Put on your Tel-e-phone voice" idea. You pretend that u r ont' tellyfone t'queen. (as they say across the border in Lancashire)

Not just in ads unfortunately , but seeing an e34 3.8 M5 with Nuremberg suspension has led to my brother's M5 being called Hess- the fact it s been in his garage without moving for over 3 years means I will henceforth call his garage Spandau. I'm sure* he'll find this hilarious.

I like how that Alfa ad says it has a leaking power steering pipe and will need changing 'at some point'. How about now?

What about that ancient newspaper cutting with the advert for the "Marse Miner 1000"?

Clearly that white XJ40 should have read

"welding car"

Obviously the eBay add pronouncing "spears or reapers".

No typos but saw an ad on Facebook earlier that was hilarious. It would list a fault but would say it's all ok in the same sentence. For example, car has dents and scratches but still looks good. WTF. Also spent over £200 on an induction kit and they want £600 for the car. It had loads of stuff wrong but they prioritise bolting tat on.

My old Polo GT was advertised as "Spears or reparis", the guy was a complete mong in real life too.

Saw a big obituary in the local paper dedicated to the memory of 'GRAND NAD'.

I hope his name was "Ollie"

I dunno, I just pictured a massive majestic gonad with a crown on top.

I saw it in the newspaper in the chippy while I ordered my grub and 'LOL'd'

Not a typo, but what do you call this sort of foot-in-mouth phrase?

And this is missing a *
