I keep misreading the title of this thread as 'Baleno wood collection' and expecting it to be an account of a trip out to load the boot up with firewood.

Anyway, here is a (rather belated, sorry) collection post and photos....

 

I seem to remember it being a Wednesday, I was relaxed and hadn't any plans. Browsing Autoshite, as ya' do I noticed some interest in the Baleno. I was trying to my best to sell the car to comfysofa of this parish to no avail. I then noticed our Da' aka: Bub2006 and Sam aka: Red5 chatting on the for sale thread about this car.

 

As usual, I jumped in to see if I could help. A bit of to-ing and fro-ing via PM/telephone between me, Bub, and Red5 saw this car sold to Bub, but Bub needed the car delivered to Derbyshire. Thats where LORD_STERLINGS_SHITE_DELIVERY_"SERVICE" was called upon.

 

So, going from lazing about in front of the 'net to getting ready and waiting for Red5_chap to collect me and deliver me to Baleno where my mission was to deliver said car to Bubba_chap up in Derbyshire.

 

Baleno was collected seeing me back behind it's steering wheel as I'd done so some months back when I brought it down from North Wales.

 

It must have been something like 3 o'clock when I left after I picked up my ShatNav from the forlorn looking Sterling. 'Nav was saying it'd take me nearly 2 hours to get to chez_Bub, but hey, I was driving a reliable* warm car through the wind and rain up north, better still, Bub insisted on bringing me back to chez_Mo.

 

I got to what seemed to be the very top of Derbyshire a couple of hours later as I'd stopped to spend a penny and buy some KFC fries.

 

A very northern sounding Bub was very impressed wi' car. I was shown around the sorry looking Vectra and seemingly, all of the little luck that Bub had must have saved the Vectra from even more damage. I must also say, I am slightly jealous as frankly, you have a better car than me!

 

Anyhow, soon enough it was time for me to be returned to the West of the Midlands so I could go home and sleep. Bub was on driving duties, firstly, we stopped off for petrol as the tank was almost as dry as recovered alcoholic.:

 

 

Tank filled, a friend seen and soon we hit some sort of bypass that hit the West Midlands faster than I thought. And I thought I prided myself on knowing where I was going...

 

We stopped in a horrible place in Birmingham called 'Great Barr' there is really nowt "Great" about it, the whole place looks and feels tired and run down. But anyway, we munched on McDonalds fries and what have you, this is where I found out that my mate was giving away a free Rover 820 and that someone was raffling a Renault Vel Satis.

 

Soon enough we reached chez_Mo. Bub had his car and was soon happily on his way.

 

Hopefully whatever has affected the car now won't be too expensive or difficult to sort, I'm sure it won't.

Genuinely don't mean this to sound (or be) twattish, but I honestly reckon you're better off sacking cars off for a bit. If it's possible try and get by for a few weeks at least and then see what happens, hopefully your luck will change and you'll be in a better position.

Shit man, bad luck in both instances I can see how it wasnt your fauly. Coming back from sf if I had swerved around the big bit of rock that took my tyres out I would have hit a biker... Cul8r tyres...

I'm just pissed off at the minute. Car is stranded 15 mile Away. Looks like subframe bent. I don't drive like a twat but Mt character and my nature wouldn't alow me to drive off knowing I may have caused an accident.
