You know, having read this and some of his other posts/threads I was just sat here thinking 'it's not going to be long now before this guys username turns yellow' so I go back to the main Autoshite page and, oh look, it's just gone yellow!

I was trying to ignore all this, but nice one Trigger!

Panhard65 - If you see this i haven't got a clue what's happened you seem to have been accidently banned too! I'm just trying to get in touch with Dave to get it lifted. SOZ

Well that answers that question before I asked it.

I dont meen to offend anyone but is it right or even fair that one person can ban someone?

Does it have to be discussed and agreed with other mods?

I am not having a go just curious.

It has been, we've got a staff only board where we discuss these thing and everyone was in agreement that his time had come.

Anyways, back to Cortina bushes: having struggled getting the buggers out and in the first time, every subsequent time the new ones had a few thou' filed off all round and rapped in/out with a wee hammer - after all, once the arm is bolted back on they're not going to fall out...

I have fitted plenty of void bushes and it was always the ones on the axle that went.

Do you think a warning would make a difference then?. No, not in the slightest. Sometimes we do and have done in the past but i can't see in this situation him paying any notice of it, he'd probably just say that i was bullying him or something.

Oh right sounds like a good set up.

Do warnings not occur first?

Dont normally give warnings but we have to get a good few members complaining before it happens.

I didnt even get to ask how fast his dead dad went up a 1 in 3 gradient.

Oky doky sounds fair enough.

I hope you don't think I was critising the way you run the forum just curious, that and waiting in hope for pics to surface of this maxi dizzler.

I thought Trigger gave him a warning yesterday, I remember the line

"your posts are getting weirder and weirder and didn't start off at a high level"

Good work mods, you gave him every oppotunity and he continued to throw it back so hopefully we can return to normal.

Ohhhh we are being monitored and talked about... No doubt Cav is reading our brainwaves and implanting improper thoughts about buying shit cars from him using ARSE (autoshite reading & subverting equipment)

Dons foil hat ...

I am now picturing it like the staff room at any 70s or 80s high school where the teachers moan about the little buggers and what they've been up to, while smoking and drinking whisky to stop them from having a nervous breakdown

I imagine a smoke filled room with Trigger and Dave trying to keep Billy away from the ban hammer after someone bad mouths a Corsa B.

Meh. I think he just wanted to cause trouble. He's no loss. Also, while we're on the subject of being twats, I never apologised for teling you to sod off last year, garbaldy...Sorry that was rude and un called for.

You'll not get them out at all the first time they spin on the outer instead of twisting the rubber and it seizes the casing in the arm...

It's like that a bit, but we have a secretary who wears a mini skirt and she has her glasses on the end of her nose and puts her little finger in the corner of her mouth a lot.

Call me Roger Irrelevant but RE- Cortina Void Bushes: Set fire to the rubber bit with a blowlamp or some such, wait until it's bubbling like a well done marshmallow, then push it out of the sleeve with an appropriately sized poking tool. With the rubber core removed you can carefully* hacksaw through the metal sleeve and whack it out with a cunning implement. Like a chisel.

I actually have a cortina void bush removal tool. Crazy or what?

It's half term so I was expecting someone to troll the forum. Seems to happen nearly every school holiday

With refernce to the void bushes  a couple of sockets and a bit of threaded bar will get them out. The last ones I did were quite a few years ago now and on one of those horrid cobra kit cars. Badged as a 428 but running a 1.6 pinto. The way it was set up it would need new void bushes every mot. Which did make them really easy to change but not good if you had to pay for the buggers every year. why are kit cars so shit ??? I shouldn't ask that really as we will be here all night and I wouldn't want to bully anyone and get banned again :-D
