The fair lady barefoot does a 54 mile daily commute in our '87 944S and has done so for the last 21 years.

Fuck - I've just clicked on my fuelly to find that I've spent nearly £7,500 putting fuel in it since 2011.

But duties are now taken by either the '83 granada or 99 transit.

I seem to have gone from an All Creatures Great and Small to small time scrap metal trader/ racer look

Here's mine "Doing it's thing" today

20608991871_d6f4474f0a_c.jpg80" and trailer by Kevin Mills, on Flickr

When I worked for the LR magazine, I was doing 80 miles a day in it, so for mega MPGz and veg-biodiesel-compatibility I fitted a Perkins Prima from a Montego. Took extreme pleasure parking it next to Evo's test cars and filling the car park with veggy smoke.

It's now back to completely standard and after years of fucking around "improving" stuff on other landies I'm kinda on a mission to prove that you don't actually NEED to do anything, hence this is still on points (dizzy and fuel pump) and a dynamo. I did change to negative earth though when the perkins went in.

Also dailied in recentish times an '86 Audi Coupe, '93 Pug 205 and a '01 Citroen c15

Same as Scruff, 1952 and currently my only mode of transport. Used daily, takes me on 200-mile round trips to my current places of employment every other week and proved to be a great wedding car too the other week;

Only on this forum would my 9 year old daily be laughably new.

I feel like a bit of an imposter driving a sensible 1990s diesel estate.

Everyday in my 40 year old 2300s insured with full business cover and used all year round for anything I need.

My 29 year old Nissan Cherry carts kids and tools around as well as anything else.  If it can't cope I use Ms C's 22 year old Disco.

When I was still able to afford the petrol for commuting forth and back to the job I hate, I did it with the haunted Rover of 1975. Now I'm working from home.

The oldest daily driver I ever had was a '60 Buick Le Sabre convertible when I was 19. Daily means the first ten days of the Month.

Then it was either Zündapp scooter, or one of my mother's Renner 4s.

Mostly my 20 mile a day commute is done on my 1980(ish, not exactly sure) Carlton Criterium.  If I do drive, it's a poor show as it's either the 1994 Rover or 1996 Volvo.

Currently looks like this;

First time it's seen the outside of its lean-to in over a year, also sustained a serious winch-related injury to the roof's paint when we were getting it in the workshop so I think that's brought the re-spray forward as well :( It's probably worth 3x market value though, looking like that. OMGBARNFINDETC.

Engine's all but back together though, just waiting for my new heads to be done at the machine shop.

My oldest regular drive these days is my '83 Skoda Estelle, minimum circa 50 miles trip, possibly one of the more unusual everyday use vehicles? Its certainly the oldest at work.

The oldest I've taken to work was a few summer trips in my 1926 Model T but those were only like "drive your classic to work day".

When I travelled a shorter commute of only about 20 miles I had a lovely 1962 Morris Oxford Series 6 that I used as my everyday car from about 1995 to 2004. Great car.

My daily transport is the 1974 Honda C90 on the right,I average 20 miles a day,fuel cost is around £4 a week.

Soon to be joined by the 1953 Velocette LE.Once I pull my finger out and send off the v5s,both will be tax exempt.

I use the 1955 Cowley for work once or twice a week but that will stop in the autumn purely because I need to do stuff do it before it becomes too cold to be bothered. Have used 1963 Minor for 10 years as an all-year round daily with 1987 T25 as back up. My commute is only 10 miles though....This winter I think will be the first one since buying the Morrissesess that I am looking to get a WBOD. Partly that's because I am fucked off with the bastards rotting in the salt but partly coz I iz Bored and want a change. It wont be a modern, probably something 80s.

On occasion I've used my 164 to convey me to work where I do a mix of joinery and building jobs, it's cavernous boot does the job well. I'd love to own a Reliant three wheeler and casually drive it to work on a building job in Chelsea or Fulham to see what the reaction would be.

Relatively new but widely loathed '86 volvo 360.

I'm hoping I can used my dad's '70 P5B every day once I finish some 'recommisioning' work.

The '89 Scirocco was coping admirably with a 60 mile commute to work and doing my home visits.

Up until the dizzy went a bit Jimmy Saville with the inappropriate touching.

I'm feeling slightly gutted that my 1967 Anglia is running at around 4th place at the moment! I thought this would be an easy win!

It's been my daily since 2000 with a couple of short restoration breaks when I had a 1954 Ford Pop and a 1927 Model T hotrod to fill the gaps. The rod was mainly late 40s running gear though so it would be cheating to claim that I drove a 1920s car as a daily.

I have the most tedious drive to work if that counts for anything (M25).

I used to commute to uni in a 1962 mini (this was back in 2000) so was still a decent age at the time and certainly stood out among the chav crap in the car park.

Unfortunately now it's the Streetwise at a mere 11 years old.

My commute is only 8 miles each way so in theory I could easily have something more interesting but unfortunately I don't have the time to spend looking after a daily which needs more than fuel putting in every few weeks. (I realise the irony of that statement given that I use a K series but so far it's been faultless for the last 6 months)
