Today was the North East Restoration Club open day and car/bike show

So we went along for a look

For the not so unreasonable price of £2 adult £1 child .

They must not advertise very widely, I've been going to car meets for years and I've never even heard of them.

 

I also check the listings on the larger gathering websites religiously now for advertising opportunities and this one never came up.

 

Setting a reminder now to look for their meets.

They do at least two one a year. It's pretty much a closed shop and there's fuck all chance of joining in as far as I can see. Most of the "projects" in the pics have been in the same state for as long as I can remember.

More like a museum really.

Myself  no1 son and @gm had a look along today.  @gm didn't fancy folding himself into the back of Ben's Abarth  so took the mighty Mazda along.

There was no hooning or Tom Foolery of any sort between the pair of them.

a very pleasant way to spend a sunday afternoon, shame the weather must have put some folk off coming, but still a decent selection of cars to enjoy.

the same venue has a monthly car meet, first wednesday of the month so this week, free to attend, from 6pm to 8pm. if the sun is shining, myself, @DVee8 and son will be taking the exo and mx5 to park next to each other

Today was the North East Resto 1st of the month meet. @gm asked if I fancied going along, but taking the mighty Mazda and the Exo as a before and after this is what I started with and what I finished with.

@gm, thanks for a cracking blast home, when you get the owner of the car you are driving shouts from the car behind that he is driving spin it up spin the wheels.
