Will anyone have a 12v airbed pump handy? May being the single one if theres chance of getting a blow off someone...

Might have to take you up on that if thats ok? Which nights are you going?

Posted

Ah, I didn't think, I'm only there Friday night but you are more than welcome.

Would be great, havent got to let it down until its time to go home!

Right, at the moment (subject to change) I'll be coming for an hour or so Friday afternoon in the Rover, which is running like a big bag of bollocks and the windscreen wiper doesn't work. Or maybe the Vectra.

Saturday: will head up as early as possible, won't be in the Cavalier as I want to bring my bike and (feebly attempt to) ride up Horseshoe Pass. Don't think I'm going to Devils Bridge though, soz.

This might be a stupid question, but do we want name badges?  I'm shit at remembering people's names, especially when it turns out they have completely different real names, and I need to pick up a couple of packs of badges from Staples anyway for something else.

Or is that just too much like a wanky work thing?

Same here, all packed, and I filled the tank in the 75 tonight which is the first time I've ever done it. Made me wince a bit! I just hope I'm not the one with the newest car there...

I agree with you on both points. Yes itll look wanky but i wont know fucking anyone, ill jist be nodding when real names are mentioned..

Id best pop to asda and get either veg or derv in the morning too. Not much, over half a tank will do, dont want to have to contribute to the motorway petrol thread...

Reminded me of this for some reasonpost-17414-0-74958100-1433451721_thumb.jpg

But what do I know, I'm not coming to SF and I haven't had a job since 1994

Council estate: fuelled, levels and tyres checked.

Also bought a new air mattress; Beko I've got a 12v inflation device as well should it be required.

Also square slices of sausage have been acquired!

Do you have the postcode of the camp site people are staying at in Llangollen, please?

The camping is at the museum, just head straight down the left hand side of the building and straight into the field.

Hmm, clutch slave leaking. Topped up brake fluid reservoir.

Spare tyre has nail in and is currently fitted to replace the one that went bang.

Leaking fuel tank brimmed. Think I'm ready!

Leaving straight from work so will conveniently have a name badge.

See y'all around 6 ish - oh shit M62 rush hour. Might get there before dark!

Yeah, it sort of reminds me of that too. That or the Lib Dem conference. Forget I mentioned it.

I'm heading for SF straight from a meeting so I'll have all my work shit with me, including business cards.  Will that do?

Call it last minute but I'm available this weekend so It would be rude not to make the effort to attend... I'll be bringing the Scimitar as the rebel is full of car boot tat and I cant be arsed to remove it.

I've done absolutely no preparation but I've got an old bottle of whisky to share and a waitrose scotch egg so that's probably the essentials covered.

I'll probably arrive very late Friday if thats ok?   I'll have to be on the road by sunday lunchtime as I've got to get to work early on monday..

I don't know if Dave (the Boat owning co author of this account) will be coming He's leaving his decision till some point tomorrow...

Cheers

Joe

After futile efforts to swap rear axle on xsara I spent 3 and half hours just undoing one bolt and a brake plate. Will resume asap tomorrow morning and hope to be there sometime afternoon or early evening. Some of you may have had a tipple by time I arrive and some may be well and truly wankered so I guess I'll be joining when the fun starts.

Well, I polished and packed most the stuff into the Cortina this afternoon, I've still yet to even open the bonnet to check fluids and stuff, This evening i had a car meet to go to and I've only just got home so I'll have to pack all my clothes n shit in the morning.

It is a lovely spacious campsite, with a sprinkling of chod, we should be well at home.
