Is this the magazine in question, it was in the back of the C15?
I think the way to really get to know a 2CV is to polish one! A red and white one would give two colour experience!

Brilliant - Can you put it on one side for him, I'll see when we are next down your way.. He's not much of a polisher sadly...

The cursive script is "Rubberlite" the manufacturer who are still in business

ah thanks :) (I thought it said something like that)

looks like they still make them I think, which is good! https://www.truck-lite.eu.com/m88

(without the number plate light section too, which is good, as finding the Britax versions without the number plate white section can be a PITA)

Another good day at the field. Good to see some familiar faces and meet some new ones, the weather saw us trapped in the barn. It only took 3 of us to physically fit the the accelerator cable to the cx.

Tea and biscuits, shite cars and nice people.

What's not to like.

So - as attentions turn to THIS weekend at MK Museum - will there be enough "6Cylinder Cars" to form a convoy in?  I probably won't come over to the beginning of the trip, but would happily filter in along the route.

Just a thought!

We needed to keep dry and warm, 3 men, one barn.  Mr wobbler was in the middle.

What happens in the barn, stays in the barn.

Thank you @LightBulbFun for the opportunity of driving Rev.  What a fantastic machine ?

No problem!

Im always happy to let people have a go in  REV and see what a Model 70 is like :)

and pretty much everyone who has driven REV so far has come away happy or grinning which makes me very happy :) (im always happy when I can enable someone else to have a good time, especially if it directly involves my hobbies etc! I imagine @catsinthewelder is probably quite worried specifically that Bobby  might want one as he always has multiple goes in REV  )

(I should've closed the door for the picture LOL the fun of sliding doors where you can just leave the doors open with no real consequence on sunny days!)

I think she is 23087 miles now, so she has done 15 miles since I got her, not bad going I think given she aint even on the road yet!

I am quite happy to have had a drive in Rev, and even happier that I never have to again :-) terrifying!

haha :)

I do look forward to getting her out on flatter ground as I will concede that off roading across a bumpy field is not a Model 70's fortay! (although I think that will only happen once she is road legal)

I think the fun/scary part for most is the fact of course the controls are completely different from a normal car (although that was/is a non issue for me  ) and how because its a 3 wheeler it will sort of bobble/rock side to side somewhat as you go across the bumpy terrain (that and at 10Mph+ it sounds like she sounds like she is about to rattle herself apart thanks to said bumpy terrain and some doors that are in dire need of some new seals/adjustment I think LOL)

the Squeaky "Slow down!" made me laugh (esp as thats exactly how I felt when driving the Mopeds!)

shame the audio broke for the invacar bit! (on that note it was amusing but also slightly worrying how REV's exhaust note and engine behaviour did not change one bit when you covered the exhaust pipe!)

and of course the rest of the video was highly enjoyable :)

That was great fun, I take it push starting the dumper with the JCB was a bit too much for the viewers ?

Sunday BL Day

We have drivers for:

1976 Vanden Plas 1500

1972 MGB GT

1973 Daimler Sovereign S1

1976 Daimler Sovereign S2

So that leaves the Metro for me and my favourite garage tell me the Vitesse is serviced and ready to use although it will have to go back to have a new radiator when I obtain one. Problem is it is in Newport Pagnell and I am very short of time this week but if anybody else wants to take the Metro or Vitesse we could work on a plan to get it back.

Sad to see my old Range Rover looking so shabby especially as it was put into a garage to be fixed and has just sat around for 4 years.

Tonight I recovered it and next week in daylight we will have a good look over it and see what it needs.

It's daylight now, how is she looking?

I am excited so I went to see it at first light, mainly because it needs a fuel tank and I have seen on  ebay and wanted to make sure it was the right one.

ianamk helped me collect it last night and says at first glance it looks ok underneath, full assessment will take place next week.
