That's awesome. This will never see the road again but I wouldn't mind having a go in a CX eventually.

We have had this one for 17 years and when it is back on the road we are welcome to have a drive.

I've got a spare bottle of LHM in the shed that I can bring if we're going to try and get it going at the next FOD weekend.  MOT exempt too so slap a year's tax on it and use it for the chip run!

That's even worse than the cx parts car I've just bought. There's literally no solid metal from the bulkhead forward and no sills behind the trims. Mechanically it seems spot on though.

Can we turn the interior from the scrapper into a fancy 3 piece suite for the barn? Or is it in good enough condition to remove as a full matched set, clean and resell/pass on?

You are welcome to try but my experience of Citroen interiors of this age except GTi, is the outer material disintegrates in use.

An evening with the cows.

This evening was "Motors at the Museum" in Milton Keynes organised by the Lions Club.

Not as well attended as usual but there were three events in MK tonight and there had been rain earlier.

Dangit... I'd been keeping half an eye open for that one but managed to miss it.

A morning with the Motorbikes.

Today was another trip for the Morris 1300, this time to a classic car gathering at Pure Triumph in Woburn.

Absolutely, but typically this is one of only a few where I have something on! You will just have to host another one mid August on, as all my current commitmrnts end around the 14th August.

Anytime after mid August should be fine. May need to visit before then with a delivery if all goes to plan!

Pretty sure I'm available on 15-16 June.

Unless I've forgotten something, although if that's the case, it can't have been that important.

@Six-cylinder and @Mrs6C - thank you once again for the generous open invite, it really is above and beyond the call of duty for a crap car forum.

Just as I was plucking up the courage to attend, I realise that I'm in Lincs that weekend for classic car charity rally.

My prediction, based on zero evidence or science, is that June will be glorious weather. Have a wonderful weekend, dung beetles.

Needs twin carbs!

That would be nice, but I am surprised how well it pulls on its single carb rated at 60 bhp. Our 72 bhp Metro only has a single and apart from being sort of a cruising gear is a pleasure to drive. Next month the plan is to have the MG Metro MK1 out for the Mini & Metro show at Gaydon so I will be able to do a back to back comparison.

Also I wonder how my 40 bhp 998cc Mini is going to feel compared to these powerful 1275cc cars.
