clayts450 Posted September 26, 2019 Posted September 26, 2019 Loving the RR, 6cyl. Weather forecast for Sunday wasn't looking too hot when I checked last night. I was going to risk driving down to the museum in the 214, but it really doesn't like wet weather (usually fails to start) so that'll likely be a no-no. If the weather picks up a little, it'll be the good old 420 again. Six-cylinder 1
LightBulbFun Posted September 26, 2019 Posted September 26, 2019 so when do we see a Full @richardthestag restoration on it? shame to see it in such ways, but im happy to see you finally got it back richardthestag 1
Six-cylinder Posted September 26, 2019 Author Posted September 26, 2019 No full restoration, I just want it safe, legal and running well. It is a shame Richardthestag's main workshop is not local or I would have dropped it straight there. As it is ianamk is going to help me access what is needed then I will decide how to tackle it. richardthestag, LightBulbFun and BorniteIdentity 2 1
BorniteIdentity Posted September 26, 2019 Posted September 26, 2019 I’m not usually one to say this - and prefer a car to be something I’m proud of - but just getting this working reliably would be about the full extent of my efforts with it. Will your enjoyment of it be further enhanced by it being pristine? Or could that actually stop it being used as intended?? Either way, I’ve not seen a Range Rover Classic in ages. It’ll be interesting to see it back in action! LightBulbFun 1
ianbmw Posted September 26, 2019 Posted September 26, 2019 This is what it looked like when I first bought it in 2002.Well then, doesn't that look just lovely!!!Sent from my SM-A530F using Tapatalk BL Bloke 1

Reckon Citroens are cars you either get or you don't. If you do the buggers get under your skin. See also: Me probably being about to spend more than mine is worth getting it back to the condition it deserves to be in. Just a bit gutted I can't justify the cost of a full respray at the current point in time. One day I hope..."BX GTi red" is my current favourite contender for the colour. If I don't end up replacing it with a GSA first anyway...as that's about the only thing I can see taking that slot in the fleet. Looking forward to being able to introduce my other half to the MGB this weekend...he's never seen one up close yet. This may well be a good test to see how high up the "possible future motors list" it sits...already not far from the top. P6 would be at the top...but they're pricey beasts these days in good nick...and it's been forever since I drove one... Need to get him out for a run in a 2CV at some point, I just want to see his face at the utter sensory overload being in one results in - not to mention the comedy body roll. LightBulbFun 1
