What the FOD JCB might have looked like, 40-something years ago...

I suspect it has functional brakes under that shiny paintwork. Jus' sayin', like.

While no car car work was achieved over the weekend my @richardmorris Mercedes E320 Coupe did a splendid job of transporting me to North Wales and back. Almost 30 mpg on the way up.

Were you passing Ludlow food centre on the A49 about 4pm on Sunday?  I was going the other way in the Focus but didn't see you till I was almost past.

Yes I reckon that was me, I passed a sign on a roundabout that said Cleehill 4.5 miles.

I wondered my way down avoiding motorways, Welshpool, Craven Arm, Ledbury onto Tewkesbury from where I know my way home without a map.

It really is a very capable daily.

The taxi fare I picked up Saturday night thought it was lacking something, rear doors!

And today I drove about in the 200TE complaining it was missing all the usual performance!

I read they’ve had a lick of paint recently.

Tonight was a two event evening, the second was MK Modern Classics at Ridgemont who had the best turn out I have ever seen.

A most excellent variety with Ford Escorts to Ferrari 430F.

Field of Dreams is go for 12/13 August.

My plan subject to it being dry is get all our running cars to the FoD and photograph them. I will need help with that to drive some of our cars from our house and storage please. We will tow any cars that roll at the FoD to get them in photos.

While I can take some snaps, help with better photography would also be appreciated. A decent camera, good eye for some different grouping shots and maybe a drone. Step ladder can be supplied!

Maybe some drive by shots can be taken as we bring the cars to the FoD.

Further dates still under review.

Myself and @juular would be happy to assist the in the transportation of the many vehicles.

Having given this some thought I am concerned if this would cause petty jealousy if you drive another Toledo!

I had my 40th birthday there. They have a function room that's really nice.

I came through Buckingham earlier and there were signs up saying the A421 is going to be closed for most of August for Anglian Water to do something or other.  Do you know which bit is going to be closed?  Might have to rethink my route to the FOD if they're closing a big section.
