Ghosty Posted January 10, 2023 Posted January 10, 2023 Always good to see a T5 alive. I'd never have sold mine if I wasn't so cripplingly broke.

Six-cylinder Posted January 16, 2023 Author Posted January 16, 2023 Yesterday was a lovely run out to the “The Flight Deck Café” at Turweston Aerodrome with the BMW Car Club Central Region. Lack of a running BMW saw me take the Volvo V70 which runs well even if the pesky engine management warning light is back on. Breakfast with a view. I love the hanging clouds in the Café, turns out they are for acoustic suppression. Any interest for an Autoshite breakfast meeting at Turweston? https://turwestonflight.com/menu/ chaseracer, Crackers, Mrs6C and 5 others 8

mat_the_cat Posted January 27, 2023 Posted January 27, 2023 It's a shame I can't make this weekend, but I'm sure there will be another date soon. Look forward to seeing progress!

A week ago I found two fuel filters at the house I did not recognise, put them back in the box they came out of and thought no more about them. Now your post makes me think maybe these are yours? @chaseracer

Six-cylinder Posted January 28, 2023 Author Posted January 28, 2023 A very successful day and the Saab 95 engine is back together including fitting the inlet manifold, carburettor, distributor, fuel pump, alternator, water pump and changing the fuel line from the pump to the carb. Thanks to Andrew from the TSSC and @chaseracer. To improve the looks of our yard Andrew added a very smart Dolomite Sprint for the duration of his visit. The next stage is who wants to help me pop the engine back in the Saab and when? Rust Collector, Fat_Pirate, Asimo and 8 others 11
wuvvum Posted January 28, 2023 Posted January 28, 2023 Looking forward to seeing this all back together. I'll actually be (all going well) passing through FOD country tomorrow on the way home from a collection mission, but it'll be dark by then and everyone will probably have buggered off.
