This engages cruise/limit mode, and is also used to change between the two. The left two buttons turn the speed up and down. The small lower right button turns the function on and off (resume in cruise and "off" in limit drive) To turn it all off, press and hold the large upper right button again. Six-cylinder 1

beko1987 Posted May 2 Posted May 2 *cruise control buttons* To this day the most unexpected fun I've had in a car was coming back from Port Talbot in my blue Laguna auto after owning it sub 72 hours. Been happily doing 80 on the m4 for what felt like many days and turned onto the a34. I tried to reset the cruise but pushed resume by accident from about 35mph and it took off 😂 Blew all the clag out the back and sport moded fast up the box and was fucking rapid! I held on and let it go but did make myself learn which button was which as it took me by surprise for a second or 2 😬 Was on the twisty bit of on ramps to the a34 from the m4 roundabout but luckily it was 11.30pm and quiet so I let it roll GeorgeB, High Jetter, Six-cylinder and 1 other 4
Six-cylinder Posted May 3 Author Posted May 3 A Holiday weekend has given me 3 events to visit. Friday night was Milton Keynes Classic car meeting at the Lion and sun. I took the Mini Mayfair for this evening event knowing it had new headlights that work reasonably well. Saturday morning was MK Modern Classic breakfast meeting and a trip out for the Opel Manta 1.9 Auto. The reason for choosing the Manta is not many local car friends have seen it. I am getting more confident that it is going to keep working, hoping with have no more broken fan belts, but we do have a spare now. My friend Bob came to the MK Modern meeting and we stayed behind to talk our favourite subject “CARS”. Bob moved next door to me 40 years ago and we have remained friends ever since. I still have not managed to convince him there is not real merit to an Audi A2, especial a diesel one! He has other cars and we raced a Mini together many years ago. Today was Milton Keynes Mini group breakfast meeting so the Mini Mayfair got another run out. I enjoy driving the Mini far more than the list of negatives should allow me to. I have now done 568 miles with it since it returned to the road. Yes I know it is Bank Holiday Monday, but I can’t find anything local to attend. Shite Ron, Wibble, beko1987 and 11 others 14
Six-cylinder Posted May 6 Author Posted May 6 I am often asked how I choose which of my cars I am taking on a trip or event. Some of them are vehicle specific so that is easy. Many of the local car gatherings I attend are bring what you like so factors like what have people not seen recently, what’s clean, what is running and what is on the drive ready influence what I take. Then by myself errand cars I look for a smaller car to park easy, older in summer younger in winter. Today was a solo errands outing without carrying anything large and I took the Citroen C6 2.7 diesel. The reason is it is still my “NEW TOY” and is not broken yet! The desire was there today to use it even if it is harder to park. I stopped to take a few pictures on the way home. LightBulbFun, Yoss, Floatylight and 15 others 18
richardmorris Posted May 6 Posted May 6 I did drive one, but found it absolutely enormous. And too big for me. And my mechanic threatened to end our relationship. Momentary Lapse Of Reason, Weird Car and Six-cylinder 3

I guess the reversing camera helps a lot on the Range Rover. richardmorris 1

Not much, no Sat Nav, has heads up display and the parking sensors are broken. Ours is a basic Lignage 2007 car. The only bit I really wish for is a reversing camera.

Surface Rust Posted Thursday at 05:41 Posted Thursday at 05:41 Instead of an SM, maybe a very late Traction with the hydropneumatic suspension?
