HMC Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 I woke last tuesday never intending to become the owner of a Nissan Bluebird, it just sort of happened. An idle browse of Gumtree and I was eyeing up pics of a moss covered red Bluebird estate. They always looked different to the more common contempory Bluebird hatches and saloons as they were ran on from the last generation model. Turns out it was a few steps from either the bridge or the oval, despite apparently only 70k and few owners, all from the same North Cornwall village. It still has 2 months MOT but had been sat in a corner for ages literally gathering moss. I got a good, honest vibe from the vendor and left an offer with her that was some way short of the already low asking price. To my suprise I had a message later that day to say the offer had been accepted. Fast forward to today and its here! After I'd jetwashed off the moss (which also brought with it part of the nearside front door skin, whoops) and replaced the dead battery with a spare I had lying around, if fired up, ran perfectly, Everything works. It drives nicely (as well as you could hope for) I must say its far better rot wise than I had imagined, I bought it partly to get more experience fabricating repair sections and although there are a couple of small bits to sort its pretty decent overall, and seems totally original paintwise. The interior is as you may remember from the return leg from many a night out on the town, infact this one has a heady mix of fags, and synthetic materials to complete the minicab vibe. Infact its even got 2 trip meters to help with fare calculations.... willswitchengage, fordperv, Vantman and 37 others 40

No. T12/72 ran concurrent and were Washington produced, but the estates were always Japanese. Same with the Primera, which is why the front styling is different to the hatch/saloon. That's an outstanding purchase and proof that keeping an eye on the classifieds is wise.
