The Astra looks fab.  Of course, I might be slightly biased :).......this is mine......

It's come up lovely, hasn't it?  I'm quite gutted that my friend was unable to proceed, as it would have meant me enjoying* that little delight* for several weeks.

That Astra is very nice - would do someone a good turn. Just needs the original set of wheeltrims to finish it off (IIRC they are the same design as the ones on Vulg's Corsa)

Very comforting to know that these little hidden gems are still kicking around and forever may they continue to do so.

I had a '95 Merit too in that lovely Caribic Blue colour. Sounded quite nice when I'd fitted an induction kit...

Part by machine, part by hand. Fuck, you have a car polishing cyborg. That is bloody ace. Halfords or Machine Mart? I want one!

I've been offered it if I want it.

I'm assuming the answer is a two letter word that starts with 'n' and ends in 'o'?

You is one sad puppy!

I want that Astra but I have no space. You don't see two doors around anymore.

Everyone has space. This car has space and your name written all over it.

Steinmetz rear spoiler on the Corsa. I had one on my 5 door. That's 20 notes at least there.

Astra is a grand little thing, I like it alot.

Re the Megane, my Uncle's old Y plate had rusty arches from 5 years old. 1.4 never missed a beat though, it was a decent car.

That red astra came up a treat! I wonder if there are any ex plod ones still knocking about (I think they were usually white (obv) with black and silver painted steel wheels)

Then I grew up ;)

My first astra mk3 was a red 1.4 8v MPI 82 bhp saloon. I drilled the airbox. I wrote it off. I was 35.

My second mk3 astra was a Burgundy 1.4 8v mpi 82 bhp hatch. I drilled the airbox, I fitted 14 inch alloys to it, I took the damaged ceramic out of the car. I wrote it off. I was 37.

My third was a red 1.6 8V Spi 78 bhp Hatch as per the pictures. I ended up with calibra alloys, but no other mods, but I wrote it off. I was 43.

I used to frequent www.mk3oc.com

I want a Merc as my next car. Have I grown up ?

Hats off to you for those impressive Astra's! I've had 3 mk3's and on my 3rd mk4 at the moment. Loved every single one of them.

It looks like someones emptied their bowels in the engine bay, they probably mistook it for a toilet.

Well it was more a case of having a jig saw to hand and removing a 3 inch square hole at the bottom of it, hidden from view.

I knew it wouldn't make it any faster.

I feel genuinely sad for the Peugeot. I've never seen an expansion tank make so much mess as that has.

Impressive.  I know those TUs do like to blow the occasional head gasket, but I don't think I've ever seen one let go in quite such spectacular fashion.
