Any idea why it wouldn't embed as usual - this has happened before on a few occasions but copying and pasting an alternative link usually fixes it.

I see it happening to others too.

Found this in the motorcycle museum in Birmingham. Not being a biker there were loads I'd never heard of, but this seemed the most oddball

A fourmotion Caddy and I assume a Quattroporte - were they really that ugly? Also unfamiliar Mitsubishi

Mitsubishi is an Eclipse; most commonly seen stateside where they were also sold as the Eagle Talon. Had a starring role in The Fast and The Furious, which is a film about brightly coloured cars and tattoos.

Quattroporte IV is probably my very favourite Marcello Gandini work – puts me in mind of a four-door Diablo or Cizeta Moroder V16T.

Interesting fact about the Quasar is that it was actually designed by Pythagoras.

Indeed. The Quattroporte IV is one of the best looking saloon cars of all time. An outrageous Gandini wedge smoothed out so subtly it almost becomes anonymous. On my bucket list, but only a completely debadged example. Just gorgeous.

That Skoda replaces the current Rapid, from that picture it looks more like a facelifted Fiat Tipo than a Skoda

The Scala is supposed to be more comparable to a Golf in size where the Octavia is a bigger but not as big as a Passat

I think Lancia could reveive their fortunes by suing the hell out of Skoda. Compare and contrast with the back end of a  Lancia Delta from 2010 ish -

Until Doug DeMuro said 'this' a few minutes ago, I didn't know there was a modern Mini Clubvan

Not really in the spirit of the original minivan which was as cheap as possible.

Same as the other Binis I suppose.

Actually it's the other way around. Tico is actually 3rd generation Suzuki Alto, with another engine. Daewoo started from Tico to build the Matiz.

Didn’t know that, ta Tatu. Not that I know N’y’thing about the Tico, so it’s sll a learning curve!

What the actual fuck is this contraption? DVLA says it's a 'JMP Coarser' and has a 7538cc engine so it seems to be some sort of home-made deathtrap with a supercharged Ford V8.

Funnily enough there was a Cascada lurking in the corner of the car park at Vauxhall Heritage yesterday, the first one I've knowingly seen up close. This one was brown and had a diesel engine so it looked stunning*. Amazing that GM seriously thought of that Insignia in a party frock as a Merc and Audi rival and I'm not surprised it was the first thing PSA pulled the plug on.

seemingly they are Astra J based not Insignia

Honda Spike

The couple in the shorts were also taking a photo of it when the owner in the sunglasses came back and he talked at them for ages about it. I felt that if he saw me photographing the front he'd draw me into the conversation so you've got a covert rear shot only.

The weird world of kit cars and bespoke specials continues to deliver. This is a Healy Enigma (and yes that spelling is correct), a sort of modern day Big Healey based on an MX5 with a Lexus V8, Bini headlights and K12 Micra rearlights. All shiny and new, registered just this month.

Interesting that it’s on a 19 plate, given the 3rd generation MX5 ceased production at least 4 years ago.

Maybe theres so many other ‘new’ bits  it’s counted as a new vehicle (or you can still buy those MX5 bodyshells from Mazda).

Posted

I suspect there's enough new bits for it to count as a brand new car - I thought it was based on a modified MX5 body but it's actually an all-new fibreglass moulding with only the windscreen and hood from the donor car. The interesting thing is that this one is recorded as manufactured in 2018 but registered in July 2019 so either it's a kit that was produced last year and has only just been finished or a complete car that hung around unregistered for a while. The Healy Designs website gives the full spec.

For the curious this is what the, to give it it's full name, Honda Mobilio Spike looks like from the front (this particular one can be found at the back of the house with dead bodies under it).
