I might be living under a rock here but saw one of these the other day. After a quick google search looks like I wont be seeing many more either

We even had a dealer round the corner to me, for a couple months…

it’s an old Land Rover place that occasionally gets rebranded by some unlucky company , before Fisker it was Cazoo.

a 1.9 Peugeot 205 Rallye for the German/swiss market

German / Swiss Version

In September 1990 (once production of the original 205 Rallye had stopped), Peugeot introduced a somewhat diluted iteration for the German and Swiss markets (where the 1.3-litre carb-fed engine had not met emissions regulations).

To make this latest iteration suitably eco-friendly, Peugeot took the Rallye bodyshell and fitted the iron block 1.9-litre Type XU9J1 engine which was both catalysed and fuel-injected (Bosch L-Jetronic).

These motors displaced 1905cc thanks to a bore and stroke of 83mm and 88mm respectively. With a compression ratio of 8.4:1, peak output was 105bhp at 6000rpm and 103lb-ft at 3000rpm.

Like the rest of the 1991 model year range, the German-market Rallye featured clear instead of amber front indicators and redesigned tail light clusters with the reverse light was moved down to the bumper.

As a consequence of its heavier engine, performance was not quite on a par with the original Rallye although the extra torque made the German / Swiss version easier to drive.

1000 examples were built by the time production ended in August 1992

I've never seen a Fisker either but  the probable lack of parts means they could be really cheap?
Cheapest on AutoTrader - go on, you know you want to, £22K for a brand new EV?
Imagine - the new car smell, pleather, smiling damsels suggestively stroking the front wings...... range anxiety .. parts anxiety .... post-teenage angst

The Daewoo Tosca/Chevy/Holden Epica.... Yeah, I've no idea either.

Has a 2.0 and 2.5 litre straight six engine developed by Porsche and it's FWD.

There were two at the Restaurant at Cap Griz Nez, I was surprised to find that they are electric and built in France

I can't recall where I read about it but wasn't there a similar 30s style EV being made in Czechia(or possibly somewhere else in central yurp)? Google is telling me I hallucinated it and no such thing exists.

Those are excellent, especially the wheels and tyres which Panther never got right.

It was here all the time! A rare google-fu failure.

What compact electric sports car does 80mph, 150 miles of range and weighs just over half a tonne?

It also allows you to live out your Biggles fantasy!

It looks like a microcar, but I think it’s almost human sized.

Spotted these today, obviously 2CV-based so I initially thought Lomax then realised they're aluminium bodied but Lomaxes are fibreglass. Turns out they're Pembletons, 3-wheel Supersport and 4-wheel Brooklands.

I think they're cute which surprised me because I never imagined a car could be.

The front chassis rails look a little disproportionate, especially as there aren’t leaf springs poking out to the very front of the car and the wood is too blonde but otherwise they did look very good.

No kidding, now I look it sticks out like a flashing neon sign. The whole point of dumb irons is the springs hang off them. Given their website has pics including what looks like a Ballot 2LT from the 1920s I'd have thought they would have attempted to make it resemble that to a greater extent.

Not so much "cars you didn't know existed" but our Stagecoach service buses have BYD badges on the steering wheels. Didn't know BYD did buses.

I'm all for a global free market, but I also think we need to invest in British industry.

Recently we had a small Chinese Truck for all the engineers to look at.  I came up with 15 things where their design was better.

Its usually them taking our products apart to see how they are made. Role reversal and its good to understand that we no longer arrogantly think that because we are British we must be the best without doing a comparison. 👍
