That is absolutely stunning, I take it it was a one-off?

Yes, a coachbuilder's one off.

Not really a car but a kit based upon a normal production car.

Renault 4 Iguana.

Company website is rubbish. http://www.iguanakits.com/index.html

Comes in three or four flavours. A four door hatchback, a convertible, a panel van and  a pickup truck.

Are you kidding me? Is this really a… ?

Iguana Kits, la marca de coches que no concías... ¡es española!

No pic, I parked behind a little Suv style car yesterday. it was badged as a Toyota Mooloo . It appeared tp be a Yaris/Vitz with 4 doors and a tailgate. Anyhows the M and L had fallen off which made it a Toyota  OO OO.

It looks like an allotment shed.

MPM Erelis

A French 3 cylinder budget sports saloon based off of a Russian thing, in production from 2016-2021

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MPM_Erelis

Russian sports car modified and built by the French with a 1.2l engine, if only it was beige...

I really like this, there's something Celica / gt86 about the looks. I bet the 3 cylinder engine sounds brilliant.

I said to my friend Gavin (of Petrolblog) that it is like the Petrolblog "4 door coupe" that we have been seeing from the German premium manufacturers

Thanks for clearing up what this thing is. I‘ve seen one here a few times and could not figure out what it was. I was hoping it was electric though...

At first I just thought you were posting photos of a Karmann Ghia!

The ‘close resemblance’ is supposedly the main reason it didn’t go into production.

Looks a bit like a late 40s / very early 50s Crosley, but after looking up pics I don't think it's one of those at all.  WTF is it?

Am not on Facebook so maybe the answer is there for Facebookers to see.

According to Teh Internetz it's sat on a Studebaker M29 Weasel chassis; I think I prefer it as a Weasel TBH.

They'd have to be some pretty potent steroids.  We stopped for a McDonald's on the way back from collecting it, I parked up next to a P38 and it made the Range Rover look like a Terios.

I like that, in a utilitarian sort of way.

The front-end styling is a bit awkward, and it looks like the one in the photos is missing a front bumper, though.

Website's not been updated for 2 years = vapourware. It doesn't appear to tilt either, which these days means no commercial buyer will touch it with a barge pole even if it will pass IVA/SVA. You'd need to really want one for 12k(or double that if you buy it ready assembled).

I read about it on an old page on a Land Rover website, the writer of the website had contacted Rotodama for more information and apparently a drawn out house build project (with truck coming in handy) had delayed things. You can probably add covid to that now.

It appeals to the irrational part of me that likes old Land Rovers and there's plenty of irrational people out there who like old Land Rovers and buy all sorts of shit. I doubt the Rotodama people will end up as rich as Elon Musk but likewise I don't think they'll end up like Preston Tucker.
