isn't that one of Martin Buckleys rides?

prefer that colour on an XJ12 s2 lwb, early xjs should be in white with a stick man on the bonnet.

But what is that I spy in the background, much want

he's got this up for sale also

£5k seems reasonable for one of these early Rangies which is why I don't have one, plus "its a respray in a Nissan colour 'insipid beige' "

:P

edited to add here is a list of what he had up for sale

1979 Jaaag XJ-S V12:

£9,500

I'm not really sure what early XJ-S' are worth, but there are only a tiny handful of early manual cars still about - like, possibly even into single figures now. I remember reading a very old C&SC 'one you can buy' (from 1987 or something) years ago raving about how amazing it was to find one of these manual cars back then. I'm pretty sure it wasn't 10k though.... Still, that's probably not an absurd price if it's as nice as it seems.

Don't do me any fucking favours love....
extensive restoration by 2cv city in 2010.
Were'nt these the chappies mentioned earlier?

Price: £5850 ono - if I could be arsed, I'd look up how much this was new, probably about half that....wish i was Dr Who....

And apparently "the bonnet hinge has been replaced".............well that's alright then........

I like the way 2CV City painted over the plastic floor bungs, that's a sign of a quality job that is if they can't be arsed to strip the car properly before repainting. Personally I'd sooner stick a cactus up my ringpiece than purchase that car.

Are you still coming to Shitefest?

Does anyone have a spare cactus?

I'm not certain that the driver's door shuts are right on that Angular

Depends if I can sort the box on the Agro in time and you can keep that Ferocactus echidne away from my Sphincter ani externus.

I think that whether it is a fair price or not, is a dificult call with any car that has a history like that Tipo...

What I do know is that if I had a spare £2,995.00p - I would be all over it like a rash... :D:D I loved the ones I had...

Early Tipos like that are getting extremely rare, nice to see there is at least one example left in that sort of condition. It's one I would squirrel away.

looks like i will have to get my NOS ones out of the shed

'It should take very little time, effort or money to bring the car up to concours condition if required.'

For £2,500 you should be able to eat your dinner off any part of the car. Something I feel he'll get used to doing if he doesn't lower the price by about 60%. Two and half large for that and it's a saloon?

Looks like someone's jumped on the Mk I/II Escort 2dr bandwagon and imported a load of them from somewhere. £2K ish each. Fair enough I s'pose, especially if it saves a few nice RHD examples from being butchered.

^^ Can't blame him to be honest. I also recon he could get more for them if he cleaned them up a little bit.

I just came on to post that Starlet (been looking for one for a friend). Seller has been sniffing some serious stuff if he thinks it's worth any more than 1200 quid.
