ebay 'BARGAINS'

On reflection, I wonder if that's where the 626 would have gone a few weeks back if me and Vic didn't go outside straight away. Bloody scrotes. I suppose they could have mistaken it for a Bluebird, though I think those 626s are meant to be good at the old banger racing in their own right.

The good news is that I managed to source a quarter glass from Malaysia, so in a week it'll be sorted again! I also kept their brick. Bad luck boys.

1989 Austin Maestro 1.3 SL

Minty fresh and only 11500 miles but it's up for £3999!

How do you value a car like this? It is always going to be a matter of opinion, so to all those out there that puff and blow, and pull strange faces when they see the price, I make no apology whatsoever, what I will say is find me another one!

Yeah alright but good luck finding someone willing to pay that for it!

How to value it?

Auction it starting at £400 perhaps?

That Maestro was on eBay a while back; I don't think it was that much then though...

Driver's seat "warn" - looks like it's been ripped to shreds in the picture...

Looks like the next "scene" victim is parked up behind it too.

With the rise in Escort prices the £65,000 wasn't that much of a shock but what did shock me was and I quote "can be prepared for historic racing" if i'd just bought that Escort for 65 grand then the last thing id be thinking about doing would be to take it rallying, i'd first knock the gable end of my house down so I could drive it into the living room i'd then brick the hole back up, wire the car up to the mains and quit work so I could sit with the car 24/7 in the company of a retired policeman two alsatians a shotgun and a clove of garlic.

That was a few cars ahead of where I was in the traffic out of Goodwood on Sunday. I felt pity for what is quite a stylish car underneath.

I've got this car for 3 years.

So it's not for sale yet then? Or is it?

A lot of work to make it so visible.

Aaha, yeah Peugeot really fucked up there with those partially-transparent 406s. Always fading in and out of the visible light spectrum. You'd have thought there would be a recall.

Did it still have the grinning bint hanging out of the window when you saw it?

Doesn't it look like she's having a dump in the car?

:lol::lol: I was just thinking that!

No but she might have been i the passenger seat. I was trying hard not to look.

She ain't bad compared to the usual horrors used to flog chav-mobiles on ebay.

I bet her voice would give you a headache though. Looks the type.

It looks like she's shitting on the driver's seat....

Very sexy. Um, not at all.

I agree.

She could come round and pretend to poo in my 2-door coupe any time, on the proviso she does not speak.

Some bastard killed the Honey Monster and stuffed him in the boot

It looks to me like she's enjoying a dump on the drivers seat.

Can't help thinking she's been photoshopped on there too. It's that outline round her lower legs that makes me think that...

Plus her legs don't cast a shadow on the car either... Perhaps that's caused by the creator of this abomination using paint so bright that it creates it's own light and all shadow around it is drawn into a vortex and destroyed. Perhaps.

This is rather lovely in a slightly patina'd sort of a way, but I really don't think it's worth twelve grand.

She's just got fat legs.

Hmm, that looks funky.

£1,850.00

Bit rich?

without an MOT

piss off!

I've actually seen that "in the flesh" as it were, and it's a beauty .

I bought 2 doors for my Polo from him, and he said they had Car Park Nicks, but you needed a magnifying glass to see any marks, if the seat is Worn, he probably means there is a thread loose.

The whole family is Classic VW mad, his dad owns 2 beetles and a splitty camper, and knew more about my Scirocco than I did.

Overpriced maybe, but a stunning little motor.

I do like the laquered primer look & early Polos are a tidy bit of design, thought so since my Dad got me a Corgi 1:43 one in about 1977.

Rocco, quick question mate, hows your HB Viva a 72? :?
