Had to be done! If I find a picture of a Xsara with a tree on it, to balance things, I'll post that.

Not "tree crushed by fallen car"?

Us Cumbrians are well prepared for OMGRAINKAOS, as it rains here pretty much all the time anyhow.

The only change in the weather we tend to get is in the intensity, temperature, or sometimes both, of the rain.

Strangely, we get hardly any snow in winter either. Just very cold rain.

On seeing this, I have my doubts about the Volvo theory.

Anybody knows how much a 50ft tall tree weighs ? There's one right next to my driveway, which makes me slightly anxious...

If they weigh more than nine tons, I am in trouble :

That's fine. A 600 ton giant boulder landed on it, and that was the damage.

what type of tree is it?

Just watch tv and let it blow over.

That's the trouble with those modern flat-screen jobs, you wouldn't get that with an old Sony Trinitron

Rain? Storm? That's me fucked.

That's great for a 26 year old piece of French tin and a Rover 25. The 25 is the only car I've ever known to let water into the boot during an OMGHOSEPIPEBANDROUGHT

Er... it's a beech. If you come up with a gram-accurate estimate of it's weight I shall be very impressed

In the magical world o' tree shite, one cubic metre is equal to about one ton, depending on the tree. Beech is pretty solid, but not as solid as oak (Oak trees are built like brick poo huts)...it's a middle weight tree-it will still crush your car, so move it

I was literally 1/4 of a mile from this and never noticed anything, my Rover 100 lived to blow its HG a few months later

The one and only week my garage is out of bounds the worst storm in god knows how long rears its head meaning my Beetle is out in the elements. I've securely wrapped it up in the aptly named 'stormforce' car cover, touch wood it will be ok.

Vents shut on caravan roof and that's about it. Snapped exhaust will hopefully not be audible above the din of the breeze which hold of the repair for another weekend.

Park away from any trees! Seriously the Maestro is in my garage but there are several trees behind it (you can hear the branches scraping on the roof when in there) so I'm hoping I won't get down there on Tuesday to find a caved in roof and a squashed Maestro!

The t2 is equipped with enough food, water, gas etc to support two folk for 14 days.

It was originally in case of Zombie invasion so I think we'll be ok for a spot of rain.

My missus has just cracked a phesant onto the next life, but before it expired it's cracked the bumper by the numberplate and made a scratch. I blame the wind, not at all her dizzy, airheaded driving skillz, who do I complain to?

OMGWINDKAOS!

Or if you have a Laguna II park it in a forest, you never know you may be lucky and get a squashed car.
