Dollywobbler's Daihatsu - MOT of fail

Bugger. Too late to save the Ambassador. It was scrapped last month. That's rather sad. He scrapped all of his parts stash too due to lack of interest. Apparently, he did put it on Ebay but I must have missed that.

Sad news - although a non runner, I still think it would have had a few years left in it

Wow. Hadn't realised later Pandas were getting that cheap. Very light steering not necessarily a sale point for me though, and Mrs Wobbler positively hates PAS. I've occasionally see her throw handbags at people driving cars with light steering. Oh yes.

Makes me wonder why I've spent the same money on a old Triumph when I could have bought that Panda and had something that would be able to take me to work in the morning and saved my ear getting bent by the wife!

The PAS probably will fail at some point though - it's electrically assisted - I think it's been on watchdog

A train journey has been booked. A car insurance quote has been obtained and requires only a phone call to put in place. Yet a car has not yet been purchased. Will I be coming home on the train? Or will I be driving home in a car which features in this thread? Prace bets now!

You can all be kept in suspense for now. I'm currently plotting the collection thread, and I've still not agreed to actually buy it yet! If I don't buy it though, I run the risk of the being late for a gathering of people at our house that I'd managed to forget about...

OOh I hope it's one of the Chinquimquichinchiquenchios. Maybe the yellow one and the drivers door of the red one?

There was a hint on DW's blog about it being from a manufacturer that is extinct.  Bitter are extinct, aren't they?  That red one in the tat thread would be a stupid purchase.  I hope it's that.

I see your flowery Nippa and raise you this.

Remember this? Well, I paid £370 for it earlier and now it's mine.

That looks rather daft, well done!

Pretty newfangled though. I hope it doesn't pop a transistor on the way home.

Actually, the digital clock did briefly stop working. Can I get a refund?

An early Sirion, well done that man.

I've not driven one with that engine, so can't comment on it, but if the others are anything to by it should be quite nippy and handle well.

That makes buying a mercedes miles from home that you know doesn't run properly look like a sensible move.

First stop, 8 litres of whiteboard cleaner. I do like Sirions though.

My mind actually just boggled.  I do like these, maybe not with such distinctive artistic additions, but I do like the way they usually look.  I imagine the person you bought it from was a character.

Well that came out of left-field...I give it 5 weeks, tops 😃
