The two members I've met are both men with beards. Extrapolating that, I fully expect Shitefest to look something like this:

Only with more cars.

IIRC everyone on here has some form of facial fluff bar skattrd and KruJoe.

You haven't seen me today bro - I skipped the shave this morning, now I look like that bloke with the badges. ^

Last time I checked, the hotel was quickly running out of rooms. (not all Autoshite related) If you're going to call, do so today would be my suggestion. If it is full, let us know!

Theres loads of beardless shiteists, or at least there were last time I saw them ... Maybe after a couple of days "camping" in a field in Malham they all looked like they normally had beards ;)

Although I must say the Scotoshite pairing of cms206 & davidfowler2000 are rather baby faced youngsters and I doubt they could grow a beard between them

Haw you!

I'll admit I've no chance of decent face fluffage but have you not seen cms206 in full bloom?

I've just booked the last room at The Hafod, 55 quid so I'm definitely coming now! Facilities include 'opening windows'. Is that seen as a luxury in Wales then?

It's an optional extra, in case the grey skies and bleak mountains push you over the edge.

I may stop shaving and go full hobo now, skattrd...

Will SWMBO allow this? Especially after that photo you put up on Fudbook last night. How are your murder wounds getting on anyways?

looking at them pics is it better the sctsch dont drink (aye)

are all them lancias coming this time <3

I went to Shitefest 2012, but missed last year as i was in France. I'm coming to this one though. Friday to Sunday. I booked a room in the hotel last month.

I intend to travel down/across in the MK1 Panda this time :-D

I also possess facial hair.

Disappointed about the level of manning up for cumfest. Is no-one else actually wanting to camp?

Posted

I will be camping. Fuck spending money on a hotel, not when that money can be spent on vital chod repairs, or even a new car.

IIRC, three or four people are stopping in the hotel. I might even be persuaded to camp myself, even though I can walk home.

On the basis of previous Shitefests though, most Autoshiters are too tight even to buy a tent, and will simply sleep in their cars.

As in previous years I will be sleeping rough in the back of a Volvo estate. Hotels are irrelevent when you have a Volvo estate.

I'm not hotelling it, but equally I can't be accused of manning up as I'll be sleeping in the van. Although I have slept in a car on many occasions - does that count?

Posted

I've booked the hotel room but you never know, Wales might have a freak heat wave that weekend and I might end up passing out in the middle of the field instead for the night.

Hmm. not sure if I go to sleep in a Fronterror if I will actually wake up. Or , if I do, wether or not I will have transformed into a Vauxhall apologist with a penchant for Fronteras...oh, wait....bugger.....

I'm in the hotel and I don't care who calls me soft shite.  I've paid my dues at sleeping in cars all through my 20s and early 30s; the last car of mine that doubled as a B&B was an Audi TT in the mid 2000s.

I spent the night curled up in the boot of a Saab 900 once - there were already three other people occupying the seats, two of them in a somewhat affectionate fashion.  Our mate Darryl came off even worse: he slept underneath the car.

Four up in a 2CV wasn't pleasant. Especially as I got the driver's seat. Not much kip to be had that night!

Posted

4 blokes sleeping in a Sierra wasn't exactly comfortable especially as the shortarse of the group was 5' 11".

I'll be bringing a tent to Shitefest if I've got the Austin finished in time,  though I might sleep in the back of the bigger shite if that's what I bring.

Posted

I will be bringing a tent but I might sleep in the car anyway. I was thinking of folding the back seats down and sleeping in the back, has anybody else tried this in a saloon car?

Posted

I have purchased a quality tent for £15,

I also seem to have acquired enough Halfords vouchers to buy a sleeping bag for one pound.

Obviously it's all quality gear,

What could possibly go wrong?

Posted

I'm bringing a tent as I don't much fancy sleeping in the car. Then again, being a short arse I might empty the boot and sleep in that...

Posted

What could possibly go wrong?

My facebook photos from Glastonbury, Leeds, Download and assorted European festivals could answer that question...

I did this in a Saab 900 2dr saloon, feet in the boot, head up in the cabin, the rear seat back folded totally flat and locked down, perfect! ( apart from it being late autumn and bloody freezing that is)

When I sleep in the BX (which I've done quite a bit...spent two weeks sleeping in it a few years ago) I lie with my head under the parcel shelf, otherwise the lack of curtains means the sun wakes me at stupid o' clock. Obviously with Shitefest being in Wales, this is unlikely to be a problem...

My method only backfires if you forget where you are in the middle of the night, and try to sit upright.
