RedSparrow Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Just wait until the winning bidder offers you a broken Xbox instead of the cash.
Taff Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Just wait until the winning bidder offers you a broken Xbox instead of the cash. what are you, my financial advisor? I'm also watching it. And I also genuinely wish I had some spare readies at the moment vulgalour 1
purplebargeken Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Suitable car shaped space would be helpful. I can bid and push the price up for you but I wouldn't be able to actually buy it. Genuine offer 'cos I hate ebay.
eddyramrod Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 I'm one of the watchers too. GLWTS, I'm trying so hard not to bid! Why do you have to be so far away?
phil_lihp Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 I'd be happy to deliver it to a new home if Phil can't.
Sigmund Fraud Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 I have no time, space or money for another car. I also don't really like Princesses. I've therefore done the sensible* thing and put a bid in... vulgalour, eddyramrod, anonymous user and 3 others 6
Ghosty Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 One is me, just in case I'm overcome by a bout of sheer idiocy and buy it because I've had a bad day or something.
Lankytim Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Holy shit, I'm high bidder! Sigmund Fraud 1
Sigmund Fraud Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Thanks, Tim ! Now all I need to do is prevent myself from bidding again over the next couple of days...
philibusmo Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 Make 2014 a year to remember by using the last few hours to place the winning bid on this glorious* Austin Princess.http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251773321016?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1586.l2649 This was today driven for just over 5 miles without incident!
Mr_Bo11ox Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 I'm gonna be sorry when you're off on your travels busmo, I would say you are a dyed-in-the-wool shiter of which the world needs more. Anyone who will tackle an Avantime V6 cambelt on their driveway gets nuff respeck from me. This whole thread shows OUTSTANDING COMMITMENT TO SHITE for which I applaud you. vulgalour Posted December 31, 2014 Author Posted December 31, 2014 I think he's going to be offering his services to shite in the former Commonwealth so it's not all bad. Australialand is renowned for being a land of worthy shitists too, he'll probably end up rowing back home in a Leyland P76 ute or something. Vin and cms206 2

Here is the current favourite proposed transport for the NZ leg of the grand tour: Though if Phil is feeling really adventurous, there's this which needs a mild* recommission: When miniaturised barrels on roof racks become scene, remember where you saw it first, folks. Mr_Bo11ox Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 Id eat that cavalier estate thing, twice Vin and cms206 2
vulgalour Posted December 31, 2014 Author Posted December 31, 2014 Holden version of a Mk2 Cavalier estate or something isn't it? Put a postage stamp on it for me and I'll have it if it's in the way.
Jon Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 It's a Holden Camira, JB model, or the first version sold. The JD Camira that replaced it in late '84 was much improved (the Aussies really slated the JB in retrospect after initial glittering launch as they didn't understand an Aussie car that needed a few revs to get it going), with 1.8 and fuel injection but gopping colour coded bumpers and a restyled front, like this: Mine's an '85 registered one, so obviously hang around a bit somewhere. The Kiwis obviously thought the same about the JD Camira facelift and sourced rebadged Isuzu Askas for a while but they didn't offer a wagon in Japan, so I guess they either must've imported the uggers wagon from Aus, or stopped selling them for a while. Confusing! Here's an NZ model 'Aska' Camira. Much want from me, as many have mega luxurious interiors but are very thin on the ground, as are all Camiras over here. Pillock Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 I think the Mk2 Cav Estate was second to the post - the Camira already existed and they just stuck some VX badges on it and Cavalierised the front. That's why the back end looks a bit out of sorts.
Jon Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 As far as I can gather, the Cav estate was assembled in Luton from imported pressings from Aus, where the wagon was developed. It seems that the estate only just lagged behind the Camira wagon, as both were introduced in 1983, though our Cavalier estate was from the first batch and registered in October '83. But yeah, you're right about that awkward rear end. Here's the rear of mine: Since for lights aren't a necessity over here, it makes you wonder why the reversing lights weren't bunched with the others and let the overseas markets worry about what to do if they needed them. Don't forget that they sold well in the US market J-car line-ups, too. Junkman 1
