Asimo Posted February 27, 2017 Posted February 27, 2017 Proper Snow envy. That orange Niva looks great there, in it's natural habitat. AMC Rebel 1
Spottedlaurel Posted February 27, 2017 Posted February 27, 2017 In the circumstances, it's still a rather valiant effort. I was going to put off walking up to the Post Office because it's a bit rainy, but if you can deal with all that snow I feel that I ought to make the effort..... AMC Rebel and Skizzer 2
The Moog Posted February 27, 2017 Posted February 27, 2017 That Gaffer tape looks like an 80s block tastic grafix effect
Bucketeer Posted February 28, 2017 Author Posted February 28, 2017 The snow looks a lot more fun than it actually was. The six hour round trip walk to the nearest shop through waist high snow soon lost it's novelty.
TataBobu Posted February 28, 2017 Posted February 28, 2017 ps how much new please?? Yes, it's a late answer and all that, but here you go: http://brest-lada.by/vehicles/uaz-390995/ That's around 10500 euros at the official rate for Belarusian currency, it might be cheaper in fact. But it's only Euro 4.EDIT: and here's the owner's manual, in English: http://www.uaz.ru/uploads/docs/en/Manual_UAZ_Commercial_en.pdf
Junkman Posted February 28, 2017 Posted February 28, 2017 But it's only Euro 4. Euro 4 should be sufficient for a petrol, no?
Dave_Q Posted February 28, 2017 Posted February 28, 2017 The website it's on is .by which I think is Belarus. I assume you cannot register a new car in bg unless it's Euro 6.
Junkman Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 But isn't Euro 5 and 6 predominantly about Diesels? Can you, or can you not register a new Petrol Euro 4 in the UK? And forget that EU bollox, what can be registered is national law.
Bucketeer Posted March 16, 2017 Author Posted March 16, 2017 Another little update with even littler content brought to you from under a duvet in the back of a rubbish Mitsubishi in the cold, dark Bulgarian mountains. The snow that's been ever present since December finally melted away the other day so it's high time I pulled my thumb out and got spotting some real shit. In the meantime you'll unfortunately have to make do with a few pimply spots, some big wood and a happy cheesegrater. Soz. Comfiest driver's seat ever. Don't worry, I've not taken to scraping the barrel so much that I'm spotting nearly new Astras but instead it's the rear window sticker that grabbed the balls of my attention. It's quite hard to make out due to the light and the incompetence of the photographer but I assure you it says FIGHTWANG. What is a FIGHTWANG? I've bleated on about it before but I do love the Lada 110/111/112 series. They're probably a pig to drive but the old-fashioned futuristic looks do it for me every time. I should at this point apologise for many of my photos which are probably taken from too far away. I only ever really view from a laptop and they seem okay on a big screen but I keep forgetting that most people use phones now that we are living in the future. Bearing that in mind, have some zoooom. Now that the snow has pretty much gone I've been able to get out walking in the forests without the risk of frostbite ot trenchplums or whatever. T'other day I went out on a sort of circular route with the idea of ending up at the top of my nearest mountain to find the source of the stream that provides my drinking water. On the way I spied this Yugo/Zastava thing alongside a Kamaz cement mixer. I really wanted to go down and get a closer look as I reckon the early Zastavas are real cuties and you don't see many at all round these parts. Unfortunately many big barky dogs were also down there so zooom it is. Blurry Aleko and Favorit guarded by more angry dogs. Pretty much everyone in rural BG has a barky dog or two living in their garden. I'm much happier with my licky cats. I found the source of my stream. Whilst following it back down the mountain towards home, all the fallen trees gave me an (idiotic) idea. I always carry a little saw and some hairy string so what else would I do when I found a little flat terraced patch of grass other than build a wigwam. Or a teepee. I don't know the difference. Inside my tower of power I had a little pray to the gods of chod that the Zastava spottage wouldn't be my last. And BOOOM, the very next day I came across this Zastava GT55 in a nearby town. That spot made my cheesegr8er nearly as happy as it made me. During the looong winter nights, snowed in and frozen to the core, I watched a few TV series and suchlike that I'd downloaded late last year in preparation. Here's my automotive highlights from those in a section of this update called 'Jesus, why am I still reading this crap.'In series two of The Fall, a serial killer was transported to the location of one of his crimes in one of my favourite metal walruses of all time. That's right, the NI police transport their most dangerous criminals in a Ssangyong Rodius. This is an American car therefore I don't know what it is but I really like it.As seen here in the american remake of The Killing driven by Detective Randy Horseburger or summat like that. Check out the stock in this Volvo dealer from series two of The Missing. On the recommendation of Hairnet Kermode I watched the Shaun the Sheep movie, which was great. There's more laughs in the opening 15 minutes of it than most sitcoms get in 15 years. There's a bit near the start showing Farmer in his youth and his car back then looks so cool (to me). As a late addition, here's a couple of pics from this very day when I popped out to the wood yard. Like the old showbiz saying goes, 'always leave them wanting to get rid of the taste of sick in their mouths'. So on that note I'll finish with this Kadett. garethj, Spottedlaurel, Junkman and 14 others 17
Asimo Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 American is a Chrysler Concorde aka Dodge Intrepid aka Eagle Vision. Good cars IMHO. Junkman, Bucketeer and eddyramrod 3

Six-cylinder Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 Thanks for the great spots and I want an Oltcit spot before Shitefest 17!
hairnet Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 shaun the sheep - the young farmer is driving an estelle surely
AMC Rebel Posted March 17, 2017 Posted March 17, 2017 Love the Shaun movie - I posted another still a while back from the bit where he's arrived in the big city - as he is being taken to hospital, there is a black-grill base model Sierra clearly visible. Even the detail on the old caravan is fabulous.
Bucketeer Posted March 18, 2017 Author Posted March 18, 2017 ^^^^ I saw that Sierra, dark blue I think. P65 - I thought I already overdid it with cats but maybe not. You are solely to blame for the forthcoming kitty deluge. 6C - You've owned more Oltcits than I've ever seen but I will keep trying my best.
KruJoe Posted March 18, 2017 Posted March 18, 2017 Now the snow is going, I bet you're glad every car no longer looks like a bloody PT Cruiser... Junkman 1
Bucketeer Posted May 4, 2017 Author Posted May 4, 2017 Life moves on. So, I've been kicked out of the place I was working at in Bulgaria with no warning and without the last three months pay I was owed and for no reason but it's all fine. I have a tent and rivers and nettles.Anyway, I'm not gonna waffle on about me shit, I'm just gonna let the pictures talk the walk. A rough chronological study of my last month. Spots to make your third eye cry. Groove to make your booty move. Etc. GALLOPER EXCEED!!!11!11!!!1!!! mercrocker, Junkman, Spottedlaurel and 7 others 10
Semi-C Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 That brick looks like the answer to the question: If one of the cubes from Terrahawks and one of the characters from the Krave adverts were to procreate, what would the result of their ungodly union look like? Keep rocking comrade. Bucketeer 1
dollywobbler Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 Did someone really have the wheels away from that Jeep in the time it took you to walk from one side to the other? The sods. Best of luck with whatever happens next. Bucketeer 1
Split_Pin Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 Mind truly blown by how intrepid you are! 6 hour round walk in deep snow to get groceries and then to have your employment whisked away from you, whilst still providing us with tasty spots. I had forgotten how funky the vertical rear light pairs were on a (Polski) Fiat 125. I recall seeing the Seat versions in the Balearics in the 1990s and also recall wondering why they had rear lead springs when others did not, before I learned the difference. Bucketeer 1
Spottedlaurel Posted May 5, 2017 Posted May 5, 2017 Sapporo! Looks pretty solid as well. Good luck with whatever you end up doing. Please persevere with your updates, they’ve always been informative, eye-opening or entertaining. Sometimes all three. Skizzer, Bucketeer, Asimo and 1 other 4

KruJoe Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 Glorious as always, Alex. So hard to pic a favourite, but happy cats look happy in the sun. Keep your chin up, R-kid. Bucketeer 1
Rod/b Posted May 6, 2017 Posted May 6, 2017 These are epic spots. Can we Gofundme the Bucketeer to stay another month to pap a load more? Skizzer 1
