Can you find out how much he is after.

Have asked the question. Shall report back in due course.

Mates just found out his mrs has given it to his grandson. Lucky bugger hey, wish my Nan had done that.

He sent apologies for getting hopes up. On the plus side people will get more time to see just how muthafuckin cool you are when you cruise past on the Vision.

Following on from that bitchin two stroke above to the other end of the spectrum. I got this today from Telford Classic dirt bike show.

Tidy little bike really with just the odd scuff on the plastics. Wanted one for ages. @Rustybulletholeyou have one don't you?

These were great little things. A bit slower than the Passola on take off, but better top speed if memory serves me correctly from owning both years ago.

Yeah looking forward to getting it out and about.

Vic Brittain trail today. Pretty hard to say the least. Lots of mud and big rock steps.

Ali Express has been raided. Excuse the terrible photograph, it's supposed to show the top quality* large screen and the headlight guard...

Possibly visible in the photograph of the weird sort of fishnet seat cover (because I keep swiping the seat when getting on the bike) but not the winky-wanky-woo upper front crash bars things, because it looks like I need the lower ones for them to fit.

That reminds me - I bought an additional rack to lob on top of my top box from Ali Express and I cant for the life of me remember where I put it.

My fishnets arrived about 15 mins ago, what do you think of them? I think they look decent if they fit.

Is your Ali Express screen any good?

The fishnet fitted ok, not tried it for comfort yet, though. The screen was also quite a simple fit, the quality is a little hit and miss as it had a chip or two from memory. Again, as yet untested but I reckon it'll be far better at keeping the elements away than the standard small one.

Thats you all geared up for valentines then.

Really rate mine, stops me getting wet when sweaty or is pissing down plus more comfy too. The one I've got is a coolmax as it was on the bike when purchased.

Really nice ride today, declined a go on a crosser as only two weeks post double hernia op though enjoyed both the traffic slalom and the lanes.

Vespa seems to be holding back or more like slightly intermittent at flat strap and did once cut out when i hit a pot hole. Didn't fully die just not reving. Coasted into garage pressed on the plug cap thinking thats a good easy first check. Though i didn't find anything that may lead me to believe that was the issue it then fired and made it 8 miles home. Gotta be a lose something electrical right?

Funny old things screens. Getting it right is trial and error most seem to just increase the buffeting though that one you got does look like it'll be big enough to actually be behind.

Agreed I tried all sorts on my FZ1 and found cutting the standard screen down by 4” made the best screen for zero noise and reasonable wind protection.

Lacking in patience I took the one off my himi and put it in the bin. Whilst they can be great on the road in the dirt id rather it weren't there.

Had a peek under the vespa to see what decks out when leaning it left. Turns out it's the side stand which has plenty of give so shall just let that shower sparks for the foreseeable.

Centre stand I'm thinking is perhaps not entirely OE.

Ugly though functional. I like it.

Only did about 1/4 of a mile as it there was no signs that I couldn't ride down there, but no signs saying I could. It's a mile or two to the farm that this leads to.

The bike did try and slip a bit, iirc the tyres are 70% road (or something like that) and I'm not used to green laning or mud, as such. Glad I didn't go for a much bigger bike as I reckon the weight would hinder a novice like me. Definitely going to be trying some proper green-laning soon though, a bloke up the road knows some decent places across the border and goes quite a bit, so will tag along with him.

The screen seemed to deflect the cold wind away, so hopefully will be the same with rain. Seat cover wasn't noticeable so it can't be too intrusive feeling. The foot brake pedal extender was another God send, just adds more confidence on the road. Looking forward to eventually getting the top crash bars fitted, more really because I think some small attachable pannier bags will mean some protection from the elements for my knees, as well as be handy to store small bits and bobs.

It's not the fastest thing on the road, but pulls well enough in the lower gears and it wasn't bought or made to be a sports bike. Quite impressed so far.

Wicked. Enjoy. A world of dirty fun awaits.

Tyres do look pretty road biased though will be more than good enough for dry lanes. The season is about to change. There's some great more knobbly options which provide better grip though all will wear quicker on the black top. Nowt but proper enduro tyres are good in proper slop.

Riding with a buddy or s a good shout. Group even better. Have got out of and through many places which would not have been possible without a hand. Even if that hand stays in pocket and its just goading/encouragement.

TRF has a good rep. Never joined myself though know many who have and have joined in for the ride a few times.

Got to mess with the old Z750 penny project special today for the first time since bringing it to the new house, I'd decided to open up the frame and hide the wiring under the seat unit (not yet fitted) and started it before I moved but then the house took priority, got back to it today, managed to remember which wire was which and get it all connected up again.

Everything that is fitted now works except one indicator and it turns over on the button, so reckon next weekend I'll get it fuelled and fired up again for the first time in longer than I care to admit. If I'm on it and get the tank sorted I might take it up the road the weekend after.

Slow progress is better than no progress.

Colemore Cup this weekend.

Good trial but mainly made up of lots of super muddy steep banks which can get a bit tedious.

Nice around to ride around though and you get to see loads of cool places you wouldn't normally. Lost my number plate again. Second week on the bounce. I do have one mounted on top of my mudguard as well.

I really fancy a trials bike and you ain't helping.

Something light, modern and that works is my dream combo. Had all the components in previous bikes though never in the same machine.

I would advise getting a TY250 Pinky. Best all round bikes ever.

If you want slightly new 245 Fantic, if you want slightly new than that Montesa 315/GasGas TXT and if you want newer that that Beta Evo 200/250.

I have done so many years riding a TY that it is taking me a while to adapt to a modern. This gas gas just doesn't turn and it's too powerful and it just doesn't grip.

TY has nice smooth power, slacker head angle to corners really nicely, loads of ground clearance and the seat can be beneficial at times. Basically in my opinion no matter your skill level a TY can be a great little bike, reliable as well.

This gas gas will be going soon and I will be back on the Pinky. I may dabble with an Evo250/315 though if the right one comes up for sale. Or even a 303 as there is a nice looking one on Marketplace, it's just miles away.

Fully agree on the TY. Loved my one and would still be riding it had it not got nicked. The only thing that was shit about it was the brakes. I just want it to do a stoppie them if be happy.

Rear drum leaves a bit to be desired but the front disc on mine is easily powerful enough to do a stoppie.

There is a TYZ for sale in south Wales at the moment if you want an upgrade. Although we have one of those as well and the pinky is way better. TYZ feels really wide around the seat.

Oh Ty with a disc, posh. Mine had double drum and the front was poor no matter what i did to it. When it got nicked it had a set of gas gas forks and front brake though I was yet to do the fork seals and fit new pads. My only hope for s the cunt who chored it had a terrible accident due to the shocking brakes.

Always fancied a TYZ.
