I have to take issue with you there Dan, and say: PA Cresta!  P5B is a good second choice thought, roughly equal with a Stag or TR6.

Meanwhile, spotted in Barrow...

Gorgeous.  I do hope it has something up front to back up those drainpipes!

Looks like the owner had the car painted WITH the dint in the top front N/S wing?  paint overit looks perfect tho.  Nice Capri, anyone know Rover or Ford V8 shoehorned in or maybe Chevy 350 ??  (too much bling tho imop)

I did think that myself, I must admit. But there was evidence of recentish work around the back axle area, so I assume it's taking its' sweet time to settle down. Either that or the keel fin on the surfboard is made of pure dark matter...

If it was a Capri I would agree with you!  It's not though, it's a Classic.  (/Anorak)

I first saw this cutting through Dorking high street a few years back and never forgot it.

The artwork  (can't call it graphics) is most impressive, faded Martini Racing stripes with added scuffs and dirt really sets it apart from just another ''belly button" Porsche.

I wouldn’t normally take a photo of an Astra G, but two more or less identical 18 year old cars parked next to each other seemed too good to miss.

Both 02 plates, both LS spec, even the same alloys!

This is the sort of thing you see in Herefordshire. This era of car isn’t even considered particularly old round there.

The first vehicle I ever drove was one of these in white.  A few years later I got alarmingly large amounts of air when I bit a hump back bridge at a significant speed... something that heavy should not be able to spend that much time in the air.

First four by that I drove on the road was a white LWB Frontera, which had just been fitted with proper mud pluggers, so it looked the part in the showroom. Coming back, I had a moment when some tosser stopped without indicating, to turn across traffic: it was hit them or the parked cars on my left, I didn't think the Frontera had the brakes or handling for the 40mph swerve. It proved me wrong and crawled through the gap with aplomb!

Come to think of it, I haven't seen a Frontera in a while.

Some absolute crackers turning up lately! They make what I've seen look a bit disappointing but nonetheless here's a few interesting things that were out and about at the weekend. Particularly pleased to snap the Granada as I've seen it around a few times and it looks mint.

No photo as no camera. I saw an elderly couple walking towards one of these, they looked and were dressed just like the owners should, right down to his flat cap.

But they walked past and got into the car in front, one of these

Sadly no photo as it was there and gone in a few seconds and there was a fence in the way - but briefly saw a Mk I Ford Fiesta XR2 today...Sounded absolutely bloody lovely.

I was on a work jolly to collect something from an industrial estate in Slade Green (one of North Kent's *premier towns).  I spotted this slightly tired Stag, a group of chaps who work together own it and have been working on it for years now.  They had the (original) engine running and it hadn't turned into a kettle...

It sounded fruity too, the little blue Transit is our work steed, the 'Flying Ashtray', hateful, uncomfortable, hard riding, solid seated thing!

Then, on the way back to work, in Crayford (another *superb town that definitely doesn't have a traffic problem) I found this little beastie, probably a little cramped to sleep in though.  Thanks to  @dollywobbler's Foxanne I recognised the grille shape and external door hinges a mile off.

That rear door though, looks like something off an ambulance!

Fast forward to Friday 31st of July, on the way back home from Sevenoaks, 'Wow' I exclaimed and I drove past this and slammed on the anchors.  The kids rolled their eyes, they knew what was going to happen, they were going to be late because Dad had to stop and take pictures of some car, they were correct...

Journeys take a bit longer now, and I actually carry my phone now, just in case of a spot.

Saw a properly mingebag Mk1 Metro in beige in Barnes Cray, and an early Transit - I will pap those when I next have a reason to go that way.

That stretched CX Familiale is a faux-Loadrunner (the original Tissier Loadrunners were only ever LHD).

Never really saw the point of making a long car more awkward.
