Thanks. Bit of Googling looks like both sported these (GKN?) made alloys - Aggro maybe 13" and the Wedge 14".
The Allegro Equipe moniker shook some random neurons and I think I recall one of those in the front window of the Stranraer BMC/ Leyland showrooms for some time in 1979/80

Fair do`s.. I seem to remember the Allegro ones had a reputation for going porous.

I found a couple of forums/threads about the Equipe and porous alloys - I think there was a 'thing' back in the day about alloys being porous/brittle and you should always buy steel? I remember a Triumph 2500 pi being pointed at as 'no good' alloys.
There's a nice read here: https://www.aronline.co.uk/cars/austin/allegro/equipe/

and https://www.vpoc.info/ambassador has some rather nice sales stuff like https://www.vpoc.info/ambassador?pgid=kybngxiw1-0678c63a-209d-4d8c-b3a6-b479f276215e

Got to be, it’s was being towed by a little Citroen Nemo can.
My old Doblo has a max tow weight of 750kg can't imagine a Nemo being much more

This was in a block of flats I deliver to. I go there four days a week and never seen it before.

I knocked at the Montego house, as its within the ULEZ extension, he was very wary at first, but we ended up having a good old chat, for a good hour & a quarter! He`s an ex vehicle safety engineer with lots of history with BL/AR, as well as other manufacturers, He`s had the Montego from new (his 4th), still uses it weekly,  & is going to just swallow the £12.50 a day, as he doesn't want a newer car. It was pretty tidy, & he`s doing his best to keep on top of it, having had new sills, wheel arches & a headlining in the last 5 years (still needs a rear bumper & a new dash & the paint on the roof dealing with). He also has a 200,000 mile MGB which he got almost new in the early 70`s, has driven all over Europe in,  & he still uses regularly too. I also knocked at the Liteace/Astra estate house, no answer.

All bar 1 of these are inside the M25, & most aren't ULEZ compliant, so will probably be dead soon.. I`ve already noticed numerous non-compliant cars vanishing locally & have been scrapped in the last few months, a Mk3 Cav, a Micra K10 & an immaculate early Clio have all succumbed, were all low mileage & all long term OAP owned.. Some still have valid MOT`s.. Total waste, & even more so if the extension is put on hold after the court case..
