Somewhat unloved-looking Fiat Stilo 3dr, in rather tasty 2.4-litre straight-5cyl Michael Schumacher format. Surely becoming rather scarce.

One to push into a dry barn and leave for 20 years under a dustsheet, I'd wager...

Just rode down Bowditch in South East London to see three white Citroën AX's parked in close proximity to each other. Coincidence or the same owner?

Staying with a friend, this was parked on the housing estate. There's a Rover P4 in front of the Picasso, but the neighbour was staring at me so I made a friendly wave and shuffled off.

Recently been in the south of France for work. The french appear to love small cars:

Acton shot! Mint looking Sunny taking a saline solution bath.

I see this Citroen wafting about often, it does look very swish.

I see so many 190 and w124 Mercedes in London I have stopped photography - until I started looking I did not realise how many were about. However these two caugh my eye. The first is enthusiastically owned - nice guy we had a chat and say second car in traffic a few seconds later. Second car more of an everyday runabout.

Out and about in high winds this morning, trudging along trying not to get blown over - when suddenly I spied something interesting on a recovery truck ahead. Shopping was dropped and gloves flung to the pavement in a flurry of activity to get the phone out and camera switched on before it was too late:

Well, bless my soul - a high spec Astra B estate. Pic not helped by the Astra's modern great-great nephew getting itself in the way.

My fluster was needless, as the truck was in fact stopped and about to park amongst a bunch of film crew vehicles:

Very clean indeed. Apparently there's been a film crew shooting scenes in Carrickfergus this week for some sort of TV programme relating to the 25th anniverary of the Warrington Bombing - at a guess, this Astra may be part of some sort of reconstruction.

Returned to the car park (with mildly squashed groceries) to find what looked like a bijou Citroen club gathering in progress - probably ahead of a run up the Antrim Coast Road. Vehicles were already leaving so I'd no time for niceities. None of these are cars I've seen out and about elsewhere:

Not what you'd expect to see negotiating a snowy Deptford High Street on a Saturday afternoon. Hymer diesel and LHD for added fun.

^ That Maxi looks to have more than the usual amount of landcrab dna in it.

When Leyland took over British Motor Holdings to form British Leyland the Maxi was almost ready to launch. They tidied up the styling a bit - using Roy Haynes formerly of Ford. Then set off to make the Marina. If they had poured the development work into the Maxi instead they might have done better in the end. That Maxi looks sorted by someone - a much improved look on slightly bigger wheels. Bravo to the owner. If you get the chance to see a Maxi in the metal they are an interesting design and deserved better.
