If they want to put a third one back on the road, there's another that's been lying around near me. They'll have to trailer it back over the water, though.

Not this one, perchance? Might be worth it, for serious shite points...

However, I shall pass that information on to CrustyShite Cabs Ltd, or whoever is mad/stingey enough to be running these... can't be any less than ten years old now, so they're fortunate NI has no age ceilings on its taxis (see also - the heroically battered wob-filled, Nissan-engined FX4s on N and P-prefix plates still plying for trade outside the City Hall in Belfast, with the vinyl advertising wraps seemingly the only thing holding them together).

Not particularly special but the driver of the one closest to me shared my surprise at seeing a twin.

Saw this on the walk to my new garage.

Paintwork was pretty scruffy. Also a lot smaller car than I expected, considering they're supposed to be a big vehicle (for the time).

Funnily enough, after looking at one in person, I didn't like it as much as I thought. Surprised myself. I'd much prefer a Dolomite.

Supposed to have been looking at some today but aborted it as wasn't feeling the best over the last few days.

S. London last few days...LDV and Dodge - both in use - the owner of the Dodge was doing building work nearby. Couple of railway engine shots too on the London Bridge -Croydon line these were running a maintenance train I think.

Started a new delivery at work. These three are a stone's throw from each other.

Shiter car?

I think that’s the late oldford’s. If so it’s now owned by a girl that posted on here briefly that also has two Cortinas. Saw her posting about it on a Facebook group somewhere.

Colourful MOT history on that Skoda van. Currently on 202000 miles even though the mileage actually went down 16k in 2010!

What happened to her?

A couple from the Southend area, I know we have a few other local shiters who will probably know what's under the cover, as it's still there but now uncovered, any one else recognise it (I hope it's the same car anyway!). Was going to get a proper photo but an elderly lady was coming out of the house and I didn't want to cause alarm.

This Mazda van has been knocking around my local area for years, getting increasingly less roadworthy.  The driver looks elderly and not entirely on top of things and the rear window recently became an ill-fitting tarpaulin,  I finally got to snap it tonight, albeit in a dark, damp Sainsburys carpark.  Note the excellent parking skills, top-quality bodywork repairs using most of an entire roll of gaffer tape and the roof, which is barely attached.  How this gets through MOTs, I have no idea.

Its days must be numbered, I doubt it's maintained very well mechanically given the state of the bodywork and the state of the interior doesn't really bear thinking about,  Seeing it always brightens my day a little though, so long may it soldier on.

Edit: perhaps unsurprisingly, its last MOT ran out in October, as did the tax.  Oopsie.

I've just seen this again, actually on the move leaving the same car park.  Seeing the owner walk back to it makes me think he's not entirely on top of things any more, the van looks no better of course but I was surprised to hear that the engine sounded quite healthy, certainly as good as a 200k+ petrol van engine from 1993 has any right to sound.  Had I thought about it in time, I realise I should have rushed over to him before he drove off  so I could perform a quick on-the-spot shiter's interview to answer some burning questions we'd all like answered, like 'just how draughty is it in there', 'why did you tape a groundsheet over the back window instead of any number of other potential items' and most importantly 'can I have a go in it?'

There is something very special in the statement made by old Bentleys and Rollers. Will these brands be able to retain exclusivity when there are lots of skanky ones smoking about?
