Someone looks to have spent some wedge on that 262c, I've seen plenty of shagged examples, especially around the roof, A posts and scuttle but never one as tidy as that- and beige too.

It's one of those short Volvo B10Ms that get called B9Ms much to cms206's delight*. Plaxton Paramount body and one of the last vehicles new to the famous London operator Glenton Tours, who were noted for sticking with centre entrances long after everyone else had accepted them at the front (Glenton did eventually fall into line and that one has a conventional front door).

Always learning on here!    Coaches went out of my sphere of awareness after I left school and stopped travelling on them.

Talking of school, that Firebrand (?) Hunter is exactly like the one my bastard of an English teacher had.   Seeing another still makes me wants to burn it.

P reg Hunter- '76, last year they made em in UK I think. Grille still looks odd to me though.

It's a recent import. The unit next to where I take my T2 manages to find all manner of odd shite from all around the world.

I'm tempted to ask him to source me a Datsun 120Y coupe in turquoise with those special* hubcaps!

The mind boggles at what it might cost though.

Your spots should be like your children, you should love them all equally.

This one's my favourite

This little Austin spotted in Pembroke Dock last week. It must be in regular use since it wasn't there when I went to fetch my new specs but was there, clear as this when I came back a short while later.post-21508-0-69696600-1508778881_thumb.jpg

I'm blown away by your spottage, Mr Senator, if those are from the last few months. Especially love the Thames, Cortina, and Atlantic. They represent the sort of vehicle in the sort of condition that were commonplace in my youth. How the hell have they survived like that to 2017? And two Ambassadors....

Plus (and my memory may be playing tricks here) what I think is the ex John Baldacchino HA van!! From Custom Car circa 1979!! Amazing. Thanks for sharing.

Last few months?   Crikey I haven't seen stuff of this calibre in flippin' years!!

That Jensen is ace.   Not sure how much use those anti-stat strips are on it though!   Could that be an Icelert on it as well?

And thanks Skoda_fan I thought I recognised that HA van and I am pretty sure that is it......

Redskin badge from Big Chief I-Spy for that little lot, I reckon.

Yeah, you are correct on the HA van, it still goes to the odd show, he has another HA van as you can see, as well as an immaculate Viva HB GT.

I know of a few other Hindustan Ambassadors, as well as a couple of `proper` Morris MO`s, what I`d really like to see is a Hindustan Contessa, but I dont think anyones imported any to date?

A lot of people think everyone in London buys a shiney new AudwagonbenzMW every year on the never never, but theres still loads of us that prefer our old shite as you can see. Quite a few of these have been owned for over 25 years, some, including that 1971 Morris 1100 are 1 owner from new!

No idea what the static strap looking things are on the Jensen, whatever they're supposed to be, you can be pretty sure they wont work!

Cheers for the badge sir!

Cheers for the badge sir!

If by static straps you mean the 2 bits hanging down at the front of the Jensen 541S they aren't static straps. They are the bonnet hold down straps. The whole front lifts up and these are attached to the chassis and  hook onto the bonnet and you tighten the knurled nuts to secure it. I have got one kicking around here somewhere from when I had 541's. I hope he hasn't been driving it like that as the bonnet has been known to fly up on these and it being fibreglass and very heavy does a lot of damage.

It's a bad picture of something I wouldn't normally take one off but why not for a change.

I ought to start my own spotting thread really (I'm thinking about launching a Christmas special in mid-December).
