He can also be a feathery green bundle of fury, he has a serious anger management problem. But most of the time he just makes us laugh.

Jenny - into kitty shite territory as she's at least 19 - adopted as a young adult Jul 94 (all my cats are/have been rescues or 'found-in-friends'-gardens', so not 100% sure on ages)

Snowy RIP in 2009 at 14

Molly, coming up 11, adopted 2004 (got a bit more history on her from rescuer, she lost 2 homes and her best friend, couldn't take her name off her as well)

IMAG0051.jpg

Rug (because that's just what she looks like) RIP 2011, too young :(

BG - that would be pronounced phonetically. Went missing for over a year, found in one of those too long but wouldn't believe it unless it had happened to you situations. Took 10 years off my life by deciding to fall out of the window he's sitting by in the pic - and only broke a tooth. He's also extremely disobedient and bites. He's awesome :D

Eric has been looking at these photos, I think he's a bit jealous. He's pissed off too cos he can't go walkies, cos it is absolutely throwing it down. Yes I do take my cat for walks, got a harness & lead for him. It's impossible for him to go out on his own, as I live in a first floor flat, with a door entry system.

Nothing like a surfeit of pussy to cheer one up ! Brilliant ! can I post one of my Tiger ?? (Sunbeam)

Some form of catflap in an outside wall with one of those air bags underneath that you see stunt men falling onto perhaps, coupled with a cheap trampoline for when he wants to get back in?

Our neighbour's dog, Geoffrey:

Geoffreyandbmwwheelsforebayetc001.jpg

Tiddles: A farm cat we got from Freecycle a few years ago, she lived in the (farm)house with 16 other cats and three dogs. She meows about once a month, very quiet but loveable cat who absolutely hates being picked up. Never goes very far and often washes the other two or starts fights with them. I shouldn't have favourites but she's definitely mine

DadcanwegoontheridesSTFUImsnappingawfuloldtrucks004.jpg

Dave: Never, ever ever shuts up. Always meowing, always mithering, always hungry, always eating. Complete nut case and very loveable

He doesn't really need glasses

Charlie.jpg

This here is Charlie, or was. He was estimated to have attained the grand old age of 21 before his deafness (and a reversing motor vehicle) got the better of him back in June. Not the MGF by the way, although like Charlie, that is also no longer with us - having spent the last year and a bit on a local trader's car lot. Charlie was super sound and any youthful exuberance/mischievousness he may once have had was long gone, replaced simply by a hugely affectionate and gentle demeanour although he was a noisy bastard when hungry and left kitty fur EVERYWHERE.

Misha.jpg

And this is Misha, who Mrs_Craig fell in love with at the Jersey Animal Shelter earlier this month. She is only about a year old, and is a complete shit. Has apparently already produced a litter of kittens with her original owner, according to the vet. Chews our toes through the duvet, chases shadows endlessly at night, and is generally insane. On the plus side, doesnt eat much so cheap to run. Misha has already destroyed several newspapers and as a result of three weeks with her in the house my hands are covered in scabs. Still, she doesn't piss all over whatever's parked in the driveway, in stark contrast to her predecessor.

Eric was actually a feral kitten, and was rescued from swmbo's mum's back garden, wherer he, his mum, and fellow kittens used to turn up. He was really ill, and to be honest, if it wasn't for the PDSA, he wouldn't be here today, giving me soppy cat kisses, as he had worms, ear problems, and suspected cat flu. He was at the vets at least twice a week for the first 5 weeks or so of taking him home, but he made a full recovery, and since then has been a happy member of the family

Here's Daisy, the ex-Cavette rabbit. Flew the last two MOT's and is running great although I think she's getting a bit old now.

This is 'The Puss', aka 'The Animal'. My first cat with Mrs KJ, in Thailand. When she wasn't asleep on us, she loved to hunt geckos. She once brought a live pigeon in the house. Not bad for a small one! She now lives with my sister-in-law in Chiang Mai.

P1060115.jpg

Here is 'Puss'.

I found her about 6 weeks old on a country road, miles from anywhere. My Mother was having problems with mice eating her flowers on the patio, so we brought her home and nursed her back to health. She was happy enough, and a great hunter, until she was cruelly and suddenly taken by a saddle thrombosis a couple years ago.

P1180672.jpg

Or current one is 'Kitty' (yeah, imaginative):

P1260335.jpg

NB- reflectoporn^. She had no problems with first floor windows as a kitten!

P1260334.jpg

Another great character; playful, affectionate and generally cute.

P1260518.jpg

This week she has a new house for winter, and she loves it!

P1000559.jpg

I have loads of pictures of other peoples cats, but I won't bore you... but this one involves shite...

P1250542.jpg

That's 'Norm', aka 'Sparky'. As soon as the car is open, he's in, and very reluctant to come out!

well to join in on the spirit of animal cuteness heres a couple of pictures of mrs fordpervs and my big scary (honest lol)furry and feathered babies, first up is the big lad tyson aka "ginger ninja" and "bumhead", in the true autoshite fashion he was saved from a terrible fate at only 9 months old, the people who had him were utter bastards to him he was beaten, under nourished and not in a very good way, but thats all behind him now, hes now nearly 9 years old and a happy healthy boy :D

DSC_0505.jpg

second up is the unexpected baby who was thrust upon us as mummy fordperv thought it would be a good idea to turn up on our doorstep with an 8 week old puppy... lucky for her im a big softy and mrs fordperv loves anything with fur. her full name is cara-larm (say it to yourself) which is apt because she is a very vocal girl, shes now 2.5 years old is very focused and full of energy as she is a working lines dog, mrs fordperv says we are well matched as were both hyperactive nut jobs

DSC_0546.jpg

thirdly is the old lady who we were asked to re home by mrs fordpervs aunty as she rescued her, polly (how original) is 20 years old and a very grumpy but loving old lady that enjoys nothing more than to tell the dogs off and to mimic an engine that refuses to start (my fault as shes allowed to be outside whilst im tinkering but amusing all the same) she is a very comical parrot and says a few things that mrs fordperv wasnt impressed when i taught it to her including "its not easy being green" (kermit the frog) "wogwan" which she usually says to her peanuts and the noise dr zoidberg from futurama does when hes excited and runs away also she sings old macdonald had a farm and shouts at the top of her voice "R...S... TURBO" she doesnt fail to make you laugh on a daily basis.

Proper four-leggers at last - can't beat a bit of doggage

I grew up with German Shepherds and long for the day when I'm in a domestic position to have another one :)

Posted

Ive had sheps from an early age too, it absolutely killed me when my amazing shep that was with me from when I was 4 crossed over the rainbow bridge, about 3-4 years later I heard about the guy you see in the top picture and just couldnt leave him we went to get him the same day I got told about him and never looked back,

I hope you get one soon enough they are amazing dogs (i may be biased though)

I like other dogs, but German Shepherds will always be my favourites, especially long-coats, which I think are lovely, despite the fact they need more grooming than standard-coat dogs :D

Here's a couple of my eight-year-old moggy, Arizona (I didn't name her). I've had her since she was two months old - I got her along with her brother, Sooty, who was black and absolutely huge. Sadly he died of a brain haemorrhage at 18 months, and was replaced by another black cat, Anakin (born about the time the last Star Wars film came out - again, I didn't name him) who is Arizona's half-brother, half-nephew (same father, but his mother is her sister from the same litter - a good Norfolk family of cats). He was always a bit odd, and has since buggered off to live with the neighbours, although he still wanders back in for a bite to eat from time to time.

Arizona's a great cat - very docile, happy to be left alone and do her own thing but quite affectionate when she's around people. Sorry for the poor pictures - it's difficult to get her to stay still for a photo session.

This is Horace, I've wanted a black lab for about 20 years since my parents one died and it just happened that a friend was breeding hers and I got my name down for a boy and choose this little guy, he comes to work with me every day, we have 3x 2 mile walks at 9am,2pm,5pm and if the evenings are nice might go out again, but he spends his days chewing bones, batting balls under cars and playing with customers but sunbathes outside too if he is in the mood. Ive took him in all sorts of vehicles and a couple of motorbikes

This is Curtis, whose I brought home from the local sanctuary today. Crappy picture but having difficulty getting him to stay still at the moment as he explores his new home. He's doing really well so far, and has already been up for several cuddles. Also found he knows how to open cupboard doors. Only concern at the moment is that he decides to use the litter tray for his first dump........

Here's our cat Toby, aka 'Ninja cat' as there's nothing he can't climb and he can sneak up on you so quietly the 1st thing you know when he's there

is when he bites your ankles.

In addition to Mr B. I also have some feesh. Moved and set up the tank today and while fish don't have the same sort of personalities as say dogs and cats, they do have their own way of behaving.

20121203-03-1.jpg

Some of my fish I've had a while. Patches, who now only has one eye and half of her top lip missing after battling a string of fungal infections, is about 5 years old. Patches is the autoshite of fish.

20121203-02-1.jpg

I'd forgotten just how much Patches had grown until purchasing the latest addition to the tank, a koi patterned angel fish who is yet to be named.

20121203-01-1.jpg

Another long term resident, at about 4 years old, is Darth Fish the red tailed black shark. He's a grumpy fish, and very particular about his little psuedo-cave, much like his owner.

20121203-05-1.jpg

There's also 3 black tetras that are about 4 years old now and a brand new shoal of 5 Glowlight Tetras. I'm going to be purchasing another angel fish, probably a stripey veil if I can find one, and some more tetras of various sorts before getting some plants in the tank again.

I may get some snaps of the parents' dog and cats, especially since Binks (cat) spends most of her time curled up asleep on my bed in preference to anywhere else in the house.

Tiddles, my best mate in the animal world. Opens plastic drawers, helps herself to cat biscuits, knocks things over and never goes more than about 30 yards from the house. Constantly in/out, never wants to miss out on anything and hates being picked up but will sit on your lap all day long. She was a farm cat and when a kitten lived in the farm house with 16 other cats and 3 or 4 dogs. She starts fights with the other two cats and rives my missus up the wall by jumping up onto the side, knocking glasses and cups off and breaking them.

DadcanwegoontheridesSTFUImsnappingawfuloldtrucks005.jpg

Ollie: I LOL'D when my missus said she wanted one of these and told her I'd not be seen out with one. That soon changed, he's an ace little fella and well and truly part of the family. Softer than several soft things softly sewn together on national soft day, one of the cats plays with him, another terrorises him and the other one is the only one he'll chase. Fab company, a real character and doesn't moult.

He was in a nark here because he'd just come back from the groomers and didn't like his hair cut.

DadcanwegoontheridesSTFUImsnappingawfuloldtrucks006.jpg

Doesn't like being on car floor, prefers seats...
