^ The Lone Star Road Master Super Cars' Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud MkIII arrived this morning and guess what just happened

Yes, a bootlid was fitted

IMG_1035.thumb.JPG.b4707104d76584a3d32beff31edf8dca.JPG

Then Tiny Tom started playing with the OPENING THINGS and all hell broke loose when the Matchbox Silver Shadows joined in for a riotous BOOTLID SHOW-OFF

IMG_1034.thumb.JPG.d37b9d5bfd6f80ccdfb841413098dedd.JPG

It was ok, the matching shirt helped win the display award

Need to look at fabricating/adapting a screen as they all seem to be missing on these Lone Star Clouds.  Non-opaque plastic is probably a bit hard to achieve by @bunglebus's FB friend too

@Datsuncog Could you slip the Holmes and the two fire Rovers into my next box please?

Apologies for that, Eddy!

Other stuff still available - I've updated the thread accordingly.

Oh yes please - I'll take the Tonka van too as it's cheap (as well as the other two I'd asked for). Not sure what to suggest about the other bits, if no-one else is keen I can take them and try to make a few pennies on eBay, but they might make my tat box overweight

I've no particular interest in any of this, so take it away!

The large one there is early-mid 80's I think, my brother had one.

No worries - will have a go with the scales later and see how much they'll all weigh alongside the rest of your items - might or might not come in under the magic 2kg limit, so that'll probably influence how we proceed here!

I don't have a police Land Rover, so... available at 50p too, or as part of the bigger job lot for £3.

If someone wants to take this sort of thing on, I have these two available to make it a hat-trick.

The are THREE Cougars in these pictures

But only one of them is having a hot flush.

Yes, the Matchbox King Size popped over to greet the Dinky.  Some deft camera angle effort above to try and make them look similar size, but in reality the Dinky '68 Cougar is approx 1:41 while the Matchbox '67 Cougar is a not-so-much 'King Size' after all, at approx 1:47

No worries, thanks for letting me know.  I'm sure there will be other things I fancy, given time.  There usually are!

Sorry, I got all excited

Wanted the Imperial too, but decided that would be greedy

I suppose, but given that there's not a huge amount of choice in 1:64 Cloverleafs, I thought they were pretty good

Corgi Sixties Collection Minor is in a bad way, paint-wise...

Mmm, lumpy. But should repaint well, if anyone fancies it.

I'd love to take this off your hands if the wheels & tyres are decent.

(I've got a grey one with a bit of sentimental value on a shelf in the garage that is mint apart from cracked tyres and then I'd also have enough Minor left over to do something daft with including some other random wheels)

Today's exciting* car boot sale find is this oddity, all plastic apart from the axles and badged as a Seat,no makers name or country of manufacture at all.

Here with a hot wheels Ford Falcon for a sense of scale.

Not my bag will trade for something like a Rat Rod Mercury Cougar, or the wildcat mustang in battered but complete condition.

Well! That's a nrew addition to the Ritmo/Strada toy selection... Looks like it's made by 'Fundiplastic' (I wonder if they ever made an Ogle Sotheby Special, or was that just 'an car' rendered for thr box art? Weird!

119699810_1525284271.jpg

Looks like there was ANOTHER big plastic Spanish Ritmo at the same time, by Plasticos de Albacete, which I'm pretty sure is taken from the 1:25 Polistil
44754258_21284871.jpg

Is the Ritmo the-most-modelled-but-weirdest car of all time?

Some plastic came home with me from the boot sale this morning. Don't think I've had any Norevs before, but curiosity triumphed in the end, the bloke wasn't asking too much for them. The 16 has a bit of warpage to the top of the o/s front wing but isn't too bad otherwise. Lovely swirly marbled  interiors too. How old are they?

And languishing in the bottom of a £2 or three for a fiver tub was this, the oldest item in there by a mile. Driver, screen and front tyres long since departed but a little surprised to see the steering wheel hanging on.

i have added some new additions to the tat hoard here, again all are vintage Lesney-Matchbox, and also i have added too and resurrected some more out of the scrap-pile-of-slightly-broken-ones.

first off, the racing cars Kerry got me recently, the Ferrari was missing its driver, so one has been procured for the car,

20210801_191658.thumb.jpg.1ddde16cc2213dfc72f605952d918903.jpg

and the Lotus was missing a side number. the one on the other side of the car is worn, but i am going to keep it as is.

20210801_191638.thumb.jpg.bbec14114929c810c6031a6d1abc6a26.jpg

These bits all were bought from Steve Flowers.

20210801_191711.thumb.jpg.07208b1e0249d8bb04d083653b450630.jpg

then, from the scrap pile comes this, a Daimler Fleetline. it came from a swapmeet (remember them?) back in the "before times" which i pounced on cos of the condition of the paintwork, not seeing of course at the time that it was missing most of one wheel.

20210801_191721.thumb.jpg.1d917a71383f62b6e64b4f2fb5656664.jpg

well i finally got a replacement one which fitted after boiling it for a few minutes and opening up the hole first.

i also have added a driver to this Daimler Ferret scout car, which had also been a longtime resident  of the scrap pile. i will paint it at some point, but currently just having it sat in there is ok.

20210801_192303.thumb.jpg.595e4fe338a7bd9fbca3471501016eef.jpg

and also these arrived curtesy of Datsuncog, and they are ace, the extra stickers on the Landrover, and a working bonnet on the Jaguar been just the icing on the cake so too speak.

20210801_191901.thumb.jpg.45a590ebb028ba1a5c213da7a6413b28.jpg20210801_191913.thumb.jpg.bda10a548a1711a85f1c2c64a1a2e9ac.jpg20210801_192004.thumb.jpg.620bed9f06703a268d7c820b65dec5cf.jpg

and then last but not least, from Mr Ramrod, again some time ago i got this Bedford TK and trailer, which had a below optimum number of wheels, and of course not backdoors!

20210801_191802.thumb.jpg.c4c9f9ed402e4b95a740a064e3cdc807.jpg20210801_191807.thumb.jpg.2d3f3491a13d02b3ff6fbb9684e72dde.jpg20210801_191850.thumb.jpg.33ae2e9a8ca91eff06af6981dff66f70.jpg

following the same routime, of opening out the hole, and then boiling the wheel i was eventually able to get it onto the trailer axel, so now it has the proper number of wheels,

20210801_191830.thumb.jpg.40ba0bf34b0bf97108b3419e6ec34348.jpg20210801_191839.thumb.jpg.1a1cd2ca98a5c5aacfe05eeb1ebf400b.jpg

i have also got a pair of doors for it,  but to fit them the base plate on the trailer needs to come off, but considering how slender the white metal "hinges" are on them, i am am actually thinking of knocking them off, glueing the doors together than then just fitting  them to the back of the  truck after giving them a coat of orange humbrol paint first!

Are you into Tonka? I have an older dump truck which needs to be rehomed, could add it to the pile of manuals I need to get to you?

Impulse purchase from Tesco, the Hotwheels Defender 90. Much better than the old Matchbox version, actually don’t mind the brown wheels and mud splatter effects. £1.50 well spent.

I think I have both, but I don't especially want a plastic Ritmo - what DO you have?

Possible 3 way swap if it helps out
