This was 20p, worth it I think for the doors and the glazing. I quite like the idea of it seeing the road again but I’m not sure how easy those pillars will be to replace? Could be a convertible conversion?

Seen it done with a section of split pin but I always struggle to hide the join

Bargain.  They aren’t aimed at toy market, they are collectibles.  I only have a few and they are a cut above in quality and detail - perhaps equivalent to premium Matchbox / Hot Wheels releases

Beach Buggy may have been a Dinky kit,so that might be the original colour it was painted in

First started by my friend/housemate nearly 30 years ago. Original paint stripped, later LT5 engine fitted to replace missing original, wheels from an Aoshima Nissan Cedric kit, seats from a Datsun 280Z. A fair bit of work getting the engine to fit and the standard bonnet still closing, but came together nicely.

Now just Datsun 280Z, Ferrari 308 GTB and Toyota Ipsum/Picnic to complete......

I purchased some tat from Devon while on my jollies -

Citroen CX

Road dragster. End flap is missing from the box but for £5  I was not arsed.

Lotus Europa. Its a nicer model than the corgi whizzwheels example. Was up for £27 - got this and the CX for £36 which is'nt bad. The mod rod and bomag were £10 each, I gave a fiver for the caravan due to the half eaten box.

I also saw this-

20200808_204328.thumb.jpg.ba1ba4d45e3b899ce94cbccccf87e12c.jpg

Its a corgitronics hcb angus firestreak - looks based on a cheverolet of some description. For £6.50 I was'nt bothered if it did'nt pump.

A bit of research shows it is meant to have flashing lights and a siren - no mention of pumping. I will try a battery tomorrow.20200808_204332.thumb.jpg.6ac65af0fee0da1016419fb9225a3f7a.jpg

It even still has the ladder and battery cover as well as the sprues holding it to the card inner. I remember corgitronics been offered in my mother's John England catalogue circa 1980 - they just looked like tarted up old models ( which some of them were).

Nice Superfast haul there. It's been too long since I bought any MIB examples.

@Bren It's a 1980s Dodge Ram pickup, as used in Licence To Kill...

I very nearly had one myself about 20 years ago.  360V8, four on the floor, was an ambulance in the Middle East from new, allegedly.

that would make a change from it been a mobile anti aircraft gun - as it seems most pickup trucks are in the middle east!

I remember this in the film - going off the road while on fire and narrowly missing Carey Lowell's plane....

Bargain!

I have one in working order, I think missing the ladder though. The side steps refuse to stay up for long

It’s a Dodge

I couldn't remember if I had the Corgi Bertone Runabout - turns out it was the Matchbox one I was thinking of

Is it just the lights and siren that should work?

Yes. It’s not a very nice siren though and you’ll not want it on long...!

(Not that it was supposed to be, in the real life example!)

New HW 10 pack out, got it mainly for the hot rod Bug. There were 3 with the Beetle in and this one seemed to have the best choice of the other cars in with it.

Now that’s a surprise, I’d always though the Bertones were the same size.  I have the Corgi one and repainted it white to match the original car

That big white Cougar looks awful and lets your collection down. I think you should get rid of it and make some room for the better detailed diecasts you are known for.  And that’s why I think you should sell it to ME as soon as you can bear it ?
