l bop back over shortly and see if I can nab the Husky, though if  not, I think that the Model Shop in Smithfield has one in just as good nick for about £2 as well (as below)

Is the DAF girder truck a Superfast? If so, and they're also £2 each, I'd be interested in that and the tipper version if you're heading back there and they still have them please. I need a top for my Not Mint in Tatty Box example.

I had a small delivery today, but something which has made my life a little more complete:

I bought the Simca/Chrysler off mk2_craig last year, but I always wondered what should sit on top of the trailer. Just the other day he got in touch to say he'd found what appeared to be the missing canoe which he then kindly posted out to me. Excellent!

I have had to make a list, so here we go.  I'm going first come first served to try and keep things simple.

@TheDoctor - Kingsize White Volvo

@155V6 - Corgi Ferrari repaint, Hotwheels Beatnik Bandit, Hotwheels Custom Firebird, Hotwheels Green Truck

@bunglebus - Kingsize Model T Firetruck, Ford GT40 (gulf scheme), Thunderbird floppytop, Holden pick-up/motorbike carrier (red), fox body Ford Mustang (red), Racing Mini (multicoloured), Corgi Jensen Interceptor, Hotwheels black Ford hot rod, White pick up, All the Cadillacs

@egg - Morestone black cab.  The base is there but it is also split.  It could be repaired.  It's also missing a window pillar or two, as they usually are.  Would still be happy to bring it along to Kent meet anyway.

@flat4alfa - Hotwheels black Packard, green Woody, pink Stock Car (Monte Carlo?), Silhouette base

As always, PM me so I can sort out postage, etc. and get the relevant beeps out to the relevant peeps.

Let Mr Bunglebus have the Silhouette base as they ought to go together

After all he’ll build something better out of the spares

Cheers - I have got a 3-wheeled Silhouette somewhere so that may come in handy!

Could I be greedy and add the brown corgi beach buggy with the yellow interior too please?

One of my recent purchases, a 1/43 scale Fiat Panda. I stopped collecting diecast stuff a while ago but this was a bargain at $5 AUD (around 2.50 quid).

Condition is pretty good with a little bit of bubbling on the door bottoms (how realistic), and comes with the unused sticker sheet.

I'll look out for some more stuff from this series when I can:

That panda is ace. What was with the sticker sheets at that time? I could never work out why some of the stickers were applied and some weren't. Was it some bean counter way upstairs who had calculated a tiny saving in labour at the factory? Bburago and Polistil did it too.

I may have made your job a tiny percentile harder though as I have the Volvo 343 which bought from ebay in 2006. Delivery was from Australia but I had to have it!

I guess it was a way for the kids to personalise the cars, so that they could choose which stickers to put on, or have none at all and keep it stock.

Do you have any photos of that 343?

The debatable 'amber' window rolls.

s-l1600.thumb.jpg.f4146c98d5a515b8ab27feba84211b3b.jpg

It never realised a premium as it can never be confirmed that the window plastic is either sun faded or actually amber. I got one years ago to see for myself and the glazing is in fact amber under the roof but the colour doesn't appear consistent through the moulding. It's a weird one and mainly only affects these gold coloured issues. The listing above is 4 quid posted and an hour left.

There's one in the centre of the job lot I bought recently, as well as a darker gold one on the left

A nice pile of cast off toys awaited me today;

Polistil MK1 Golf in about 1;36 scale

Not into models of Routemasters (I like the real thing) but this Zylmex has found a new home

Yet another Matchbox type 3 VW, must do a custom one out of all the good bits I have. Bodies without cracked pillars are uncommon

And another Kennel Truck - I keep buying donors but they're all too nice. This has the steering chassis, another reason it can't be a grille donor

I now have regular, Superfast and late Superfast versions

Regular wheels Lincoln Continental is missing a windscreen - I have found a product that can make "glass" without disassembling but it's not pennies

Can't say I've noticed a darker shade before, I've still got a few of these, mainly purple I think. Going back a few years I done a massive variation project on the srn hovercraft and then the atlas dump and skip trucks. Variation hunting becomes obsessive. I was surprised to find that some models have several consistent variations where as others literally have none!

I reckon that the amber window is a poor quality material in a particular batch.

If you really want to down a rabbit hole of variations, have a look here

and here

I'm not obsessed by it but if I find I have two different ones they both end up staying in my collection

Tried a new local bootsale, in a car park today. Pretty small but still found some gems;
