Are the two grey saloons (possibly two tone) next to the red vw splittie MK1 zodiacs? If so would be interested in one if there next week.

Yes indeed - they're recent-ish models made by Classix at 00 scale; I think I might still have one in with my small-scale stuff, boxed.

Will keep watch for next week!

I've also found a model of a Buick electra park avenue similar to my real one.

It's made by GLM who I've never heard of, made in China and bought from a Russian seller and it was by far the most I've spent on a single model.

I was nervous about buying this, but Pastis fuelled a press of the "buy it now" button.

It arrived in under a week, superbly packed.

It's bloody nice :)

I have no idea about what there is in the 1970s/80s Majorette range, I'm always seeing more on here that are new to me like that Volvo.

What's the white thing on the right, Lancia Montecarlo? Also Majorette? Overly wide wheels on it look similar to the couple of their TR7s that I have.

Stuff I picked up at the charity shop and a show over the weekend:

IMG_9599.thumb.JPG.8e3c70a6e0e52b3ac01699227f827b62.JPG

All new additions to my little Corgi 1:36-ish collection. Caravan has survived particularly well.

IMG_9598.thumb.JPG.7fd2c26c308d32d028756208b694fa79.JPG

CX was the most expensive of these at a fiver.

IMG_9601.thumb.JPG.54bb3d81ed9ad2be5c343a7e35f5d6d4.JPG

Seller had one or two Husky things quite cheap, would have got the Zodiac Mk3 estate he had but the tailgate was broken but this Ford camper was nicely intact. AS colour scheme on the Datsun pickup which I don't recall seeing before.

IMG_9600.thumb.JPG.8d57e1be9d836332f45b99af6e19e5af.JPG

I had one of those Weetabix racing cars when I was young. Sierra and Mercedes appear to be Corgi mouldings, but without their name on.

As ever when a seller has a well-stocked stall but I'm conscious of not wanting to spend too much on a load of completely unnecessary stuff, I'm already regretting a few things I didn't get. Like the Bburago (or Polistil?) 1:24 Metro in racing livery and Opel Kadett coupe. Both had minor damage/missing parts but were a decent price.

Always thought that too 😂

Schuco Passat is probably my favourite, along with the yellow Corgi Dodge Magnum which is not that common.

New arrivals at the Vulgalour Works.  First up is the Tamiya Beetle.  About twenty or so years ago, this (not this exact kit, another one the same) is the very first model car kit I built.  Not entirely sure what happened to the end result, there's bits of it in my bits box so I imagine some calamity befell it.  Time to do a new one now that my modelling skills have moved on a fair bit and I have to say it's a nice kit to work with.  Gone for fuckoff orange, because Beetles look great in fuckoff orange.  Still loads to do on this one.  Usefully, most of the bits that are black on the real thing are cast in black plastic, so you don't really need to paint a good amount of it, which is nice.  Also trying out painting things on the sprue before assembly which while useful for some of the really tiny pieces, can be a bit annoying for the touch ups, which is why there's black bits on the exhaust system where it should be silver.

IMAG2883.thumb.jpg.11d3003b49c5628b19728a4bcef3a1dd.jpg

IMAG2879.thumb.jpg.644664b7613083e6516a7103fb8084c9.jpg

The Pobeda hasn't arrived yet, it's got a long way to go to get here and I don't mind, the seller has provided regular updates so far so I'm happy.  Instead, I impulse bought a UAZ.  The sample pic on the advert made this look like a much larger scale kit so I was a bit sceptical.  Turns out it's just a really nicely detailed smaller scale kit and I'm going to really enjoy building this one up.  Planning to do it as a Russian bakery van, just need to do some research into liveries and maybe have a go at making my own decals which until now I never have.

IMAG2885.thumb.jpg.0bafe6e3c49117e3b7d02262164f900f.jpg

I'm enjoying the challenge of trying to find kits of stuff I like as much as I am building the kits themselves.  Currently I do have a shortlist of plastic kits I'm after, so if you see any of these please let me know:

Citroen BX - mk2, ordinary road version, not the 4TC

Commer PB/Dodge Spacevan

Citroen Dyane - ideally not by Heller

Tatra 603

Moskvitch 408 - commercial variant preferred to passenger car, but I'm not fussy either way really

Chrysler Airflow

Any hearse

Nash Statesman - or any other bathtub Nash for that matter

Nash Metropolitan

Shamrock - pretty sure this does not exist in kit form.

Heinkel Kabine/Trojan 200

I love 70's matchbox cars.

Really reminds me of the newsagents shop that had a vertical display thing in the window that used to hold them in their card boxes (I'm making a crap job of describing that but I hope you know what I mean). I'd sometimes get a car bought for me (after much nagging) as a kid.

The owner of the shop was a bit of a grumpy old sod unless you were buying a toy car, in which case it would be got out of its box & he'd sit on the floor with you & zoom it across the floor "to test the wheels were running alright". 40 odd years later & I still remember that
