Bought a job lot! Land Rover is pretty nice

A couple of new regular matchbox release - and ain't they sweet! Tampo  print lights front and rear, and wheels that look suitable enough for the real thing. The RX7 licence plate is especially impressive. Both look far better in the flesh, worth the paltry couple of quid they cost for certain 👍

I got a Corgi Rockets catalogue along with that fold out one I posted earlier, and it won't fit my scanner either when folded out.

However this Edocar one does

The last of the original Graffic Traffics I have is finished. I do have some of the SuperKings/Specials ones to restore, and a couple to recreate that may or may not have existed in the range

From reading recent posts on Facebook colour trials were often took home by the staff. Wonder why it never got glass though?

It either had it, and it got broken out, or, as several have suggested, it was for testing purposes - apparently yellow paint was often used on castings destined for the test rig (probably a bloke in a shop coat with a hammer).

Might explain this one too

Saw these JDM series Majorettes in Sainsburys last night - dunno if we've seen them here before?

Quite nice, though I really don't want to start collecting another range...

/\ I found a few of them in a local Sainsbury's recently, but for some reason I didn't get the Century. Not sure if they're just a recolour/reissue of a previous set so I only got one or two.

Swung past the market earlier too - I'd hoped that the Citroen C4 rally might still be there for @FakeConcern but sadly not:

IMG_20260403_085443.jpg.fc245e14fbc697bf312b1fb08d1e95dc.jpg

The Solido Topolino, Corgi Classics Thorneycroft, Bburago R4 and Welly(?) Caprice Police Cruiser also seem to have been rehomed in the interim.

I wasn't previously aware that the Citroen Type H van had lost its face in what appeared to be a horrific Dremel incident:

IMG_20260403_085513.jpg.bca0e46a36a5b413246e6eb2b0e72af1.jpg

Knightmare Treguard - Nasty.jpg

The tub of somewhat grotty McDonalds toys had also been slung out on the stall, where I was able to spot another Superfast survivor buried amongst the plastic tat:

IMG_20260403_084646.jpg.585fe7cdde4dab866808202e159b17f0.jpg

Yup, a well-worn MB32 Maserati Bora keeping the Merc from last week company, plus a squished no-name Firebird.

Yeah, but no. Not today, anyway.

Paddy's Antiques had moved some of their stuff around, but other than the two Silver Jubilee buses that seemed to have sold a few weeks ago, all his boxed Corgi and Dinky are still there:

IMG_20260403_084742.jpg.2e9072134091e019e58fbeefa2ead4bf.jpg

I'm still kinda keen on that caravan, but not for £50 🫤

His rummage box was back, but with the Corgi Thunderbird and transporter trailer priced at £15, this ain't exactly bargain corner.

IMG_20260403_084802.jpg.84ba162c8e287304d7503021c9fb59ce.jpg

A few other unfamiliar items had appeared at one of the other stalls amidst the Days Gone:

IMG_20260403_084903.jpg.9e482de22aed95890de0acd787f96850.jpg

I owned one of those ERTL Austin FX3 taxis when I was a kid, though in black, not green. Probably picked up on holiday somewhere in the early 90s.

For a tenner, I declined to revisit the past.

Nothing really new from Colin on the Irish Tat stall - he asked if there was anything in particular I was looking for that he doesn't have , since I show up most weeks but haven't bought anything off him for a while.

I thought for a bit, but all I could come up with was Matchbox Moving Parts or Working Rigs, as there just aren't any of them to be found anywhere. But he didn't think they were in any of the ranges offered by his distributor. Meh.

Last stop was Alan's 50p tray, which had sold nothing but gained a few since last week...

IMG_20260403_084946.jpg.f15d4dc2de87bbc728411559066370be.jpg

So I came away with a couple of pretty good Hot Wheels from the tray - including an Mercedes A-Class that wasn't familiar to me - that Majorette Matra from last week, and a Matchbox MR2 longcard with headlights down from Colin.

IMG_20260403_0927312.jpg.882d2fefcfa6c220f2c28b969326d1ec.jpg

Also, something termed an 'Easter loaf' from the coffee shop, which was quite nice.

Happy Friday, kids - and Happy Easter, too.

Once out of the packaging, there would be absolutely no sign that these were any different to "regular" Corgis. I understand these were for the UK market, which would explain the 999 phone number on the ERF.

I'd really like to find the Regal shown on the first pack, as some are definitely Hot Wheels only colours.

Other bits include a set of Maistos very much in the vein of My First Matchbox

I don't remember Corgi doing George Lazenby's DBS in 1/36; but I know they did Roger Moore's yellow one, so it makes sense.  Ambulance is... well... foreign.  Might be Dutch, I'll have to check.  I have a dozen or so ambulances from here and there, to compliment my many police cars from a similar spread of territory.  I don't think I've got one that would correspond directly to this Transit, at least not yet...

Oh and I picked this up in a charity shop the other day...

The cab is redundant; I think it's supposed to be a Dub T4 or 5 but I don't need it.  I plan to mount the body on a different cab.  Note the whole thing is held together with one screw!  That should make life easier.  Then it can join my little fleet of campers.

Dont think I’ve ever seen that Ambulanse version of the Corgi Transit before. Quite an unusual thing.

This one was flagged up on the WhatsApp group but I'd already hit the button - other of the very fragile Hong Kong VW LTs. I asked them to wrap this carefully and they did, after the disintegrated one last month I'm extra wary about these

Bit of a big haul from the first boot sale, mainly thanks to several big tubs of stuff for 10p each. Probably should have taken even more, kid in front of me had a nice looking redline in his hand as I got there...

The heavens opened just as we got to the second boot sale, so everyone packed up. The sun came out 10 mins later but all that was left was one soggy bag of cars to root through, see if you can spot the differences
