Got this today,

Norev Gran Torino.
Greenlight do one very similar too, but having looked at both, the Norev has the better overall shape and look to my eyes. It’s a bit more basic but the grill and front edges of the wings looks a bit funny on the Greenlight model.

I’ve never had a Norev this modern, only a couple of old ones, but I do like this. Looks like a Torino and the details are good.
My only gripes are the door mirrors - these are oddly cast on as part of the top edge of the door skin rather than separate parts, which would have looked better imho.

Second gripe is the wheels - they look good from a distance, but up close they look very plasticky. Turning the model over shows they are plastic in a similar fashion to the old Matchbox speedwheels. While they do look ok, I’d much rather have seen proper wheel centres with rubber tyres as per pretty much every 1:43 model nowadays.

But, for a bit over £11 brand new I can’t complain really for something that looks that good. Paint finish is excellent, nice details like the chrome trims etc.

Naturally I bought it with intention to change it to my own tastes so the paint finish isn’t likely to matter! A colour change, extra detailing and possibly some better wheels if I can find any.

I’ve not really payed much attention to Norev stuff before but even this comparatively basic model looks good, so I might see what else similar is in their line up now!
I do know certain models are rather pricey though.

Got these in Tesco, I`m particularly happy with the old skool Mazza. Unfortunately all the cards are damaged to some degree.. Thanks a lot miniature humans, ya little bastards! 😝😂

(& yes, the Mk1 Jag seems to be a Mk1 with Mk2 doors 😆)

Oh, & I got this Lada from the charity shop a while back, just like the one I got for £40 in about 1994, but with no bonnet & a lot less rust. 😂

I finished the CMAC Rover 75.

It's painted in PBT pearl black like mine. I painted the interior sandstone so it would stand out.

I'm not happy with it at all though. Nothing wrong with the model but this scale is just too small for me to work on.

I couldnt get a decent chrome trim round the windows so it's black instead. My real example is like this as it's a facelift Contemporary SE but all MK1s should have chrome. I tried everything, tiny brush, even a pin! I also tried silver thread but it looked...like silver thread. Same situation for the waistline chrome strip.

I'm also unhappy with the Glue 'n' Glaze. It's almost as if it's not cured properly, the effect is heightened by the pictures.

I made the front and rear screens from acetate and just kept trimming them until they fitted flush. Possibly the only part I am satisfied with.

I'm glad I completed it but I'll stick to 1/24 scale in future.

Looks pretty amazing for something so tiny to me! When the photo you take is much bigger than the actual object then I wouldn't even know how to begin.

I certainly wouldn't fancy doing one that small, the odd 1/43 is enough of a challenge for me.

In other news, unexpectedly acquired these tonight:

Master SL popped down to Morrisons and got me these. Seems like at least the VW Samba was there too, possibly the '32 Ford as well.
