No, not even the Kojak one in the TV section.  I've restored them all myself from (IIRC) two Kojaks and a Police.  The brown on what I'm now calling the Kojak car is Ford Roman Bronze, which I think is a better match for the 1/1 car than Corgi ever managed; the green is BL Tara Green; I've forgotten exactly what the blue is.  I suppose I should probably try and get my hands on a reasonably nice original Kojak car just for comparison.  Would be quite nice to have the figure!  I have two or three of Crocker, leaning out of the back window firing his S&W.  I also acquired a damaged shell from @danthecapriman, you'll see some of it again this year.  I hope.

Alrighty then. I woke up at stupid o'clock to go to the boot sale, decided it was far too icy outside and sat around for a few hours waiting for the late start one to open (or more specifically, until it goes from £3 at 9am to £1 at 10am to get in). Managed to dodge all the fun runners going in the opposite direction along the narrow footpath from where we parked, after skirting around the road closures for the same event. Boot sale was heaving and yet again they'd allowed far too much room per plot and taken over 3/4 of the site, leaving little room for parking - hence us walking in from down the road. Anyway, there were some interesting bits to find, despite being told early on that someone has already been around scooping up all the bargains.

Very tidy Majorette Ritmo was among the nicest scores

Mrs and kiddo wanted to go into town, so I took the opportunity to nip into TK Maxxxx to hunt Majorettes. There were lots to chose from, but in the end I just bought this

Those Regal’s do come up really nicely with a repaint and some extra detail painted in. Your ones look fantastic Eddy👍

The Torino will look equally good in other colours too I think.
I only did two of the Regal’s, one was a tester I did in stars & stripes when I first started painting these diecast’s then I did another in metallic red. Nice things to customise, as long as you don’t scratch them opening and closing the doors!

Probably a good £20-25 on that Mercedes on eBay they go for strong money as they were from an old Tesco set in 1981.

Good choices @bunglebus, I love the doorcards on the Escort. The Dacia will look great with some smaller wheels too.

If youre looking to rehome the Bburagos Id gladly house the Uno and Panda (already have the Regata).

Can I ask the collective a question please? I've got a couple of 1/32 resin shells which are in need of small repairs, such as screen pillars.

Is it possible to use regular kit glue for these, or should I use something like araldite, something with a bit more 'body'?

TIA

If they're clean breaks superglue works well for bonding resin.

I use two part epoxy when repairing resin stuff. with poly cement and superglues you don't always know how it is going to react with the resin. Also with the two part you can bridge gaps and have something that you can sand/file down when it has hardened.

Yeah that's definitely something I need to do, one of the screen pillars is completely missing, (which I should have said in the first place 🤦,) so it'll need creating with plastirod or something such.

I think I'll go down that route, cheers

Doesn’t poly cement only work on certain plastics? I use it a lot on styrene sheet/section which it’s brilliant on but then other types of plastic it does absolutely nothing. Does it work with resin?

I've never tried poly on resin. I only use it on plastic kits, and then I only use the watery stuff that you put on with a brush and use the capillary action of the glue.

As buses & coaches seem to be the latest obsession, I picked up this little Dinky Duple coach. It's not very big (about 4.5 inches long) but it's a nice thing. Crying out for some  extra detailing but I don't want to change such an original & mint thing.

The Dinky boxes with the huge card bases are crap dunno who though that was a good idea but i'm glad to have it even if it is a bit battered.

Cost me a bit over £10 posted which I don't think was too bad..

I had some Playarts arrive today

Yellow one is the usual familiar late Matchbox Superfast lookalike

But there's an older one here too

So it seems the people at Playart were either keeping a close eye on Lesney, or by sheer coincidence they also ended up enlarging the arches and wheels at some point

The white one also has a metal base including the grille and rear bumper, the yellow has a separate plastic grille/bumper, and rear bumper - and a tow hook

Here's another recent purchase. It's a Dinky Vega Bedford Val.

I'm a big fan of this Dinky model (& the real thing tbh). I had this model as a kid but it went the way of most of my toys.

I got this one recently. It's been re-painted but I like it. It's big & just being called a Supertoy is cool !

Opinions & info' about this model welcomed. Being a completist (& very very keen on this) I plan to get more..

Cheers
