OK, as promised, here is most of my Corgi 1/36 collection.

100_1986.thumb.JPG.74bb24f89f96bd50e29b6981ad291f47.JPG

Starting with the big group: mostly unrestored, in my General Display.   I did some close-ups of this lot too...

Now a group from my Family History cabinet...

Bonna ambulance on the Merc W123 chassis...

...and if you have an ambulance you should have some attending copcars, right?

100_1982.thumb.JPG.5eaba721ac737aee86c03495dec2f0c4.JPG

And finally, the Film/TV branch.

100_1983.thumb.JPG.965ca11a86127e777caf1a956da8a7a4.JPG

There are actually others too, either waiting in my Projects boxes or drilled apart and waiting for stripping or painting, but the drilled ones are outside and it's too bloody cold.  And after yesterday I haven't got the strength.

From memory, waiting in the queue:

1x Mini

1xMetro

1x Mercedes W114

1x Range Rover

1x X1/9

1x Transit milk float

1x AMC Pacer

1x Bond BMW 7-series

1, maybe 2x SD1

2 or more x Escort van

These are just the ones I can remember.  I may have missed some; it's possible there's an XJS in there too.  I can't face going through the Pending box upstairs today.

I've never had the Transit wrecker or any version of the Chevy Caprice; nor (IIRC) any of the superminis: Polo, Fiesta, R5.  Don't think I have, or ever did have a Bond DB5 in this scale.

Some fantastic 1/36 on here this afternoon, especially those Ford Transcontinentals! Thanks to @danthecapriman I should have some more enroute too!

@eddyramrod The Kojack Buick's look great in different colours, I wonder what the Grand Torino would look like in a suitable pale metallic little old lady spec?

That reminds me... there's a Torino in the queue.  Thank you for the Buick appreciation.

After the recent Corgi additions and finding others scattered amonst various cabinets and boxes I had a bit of a sort-out and stocktake of the mostly 1/36-ish collection:

IMG_5312.thumb.JPG.685e04598dae78173c9066ae5e85ebeb.JPG

Boxed stuff, in addition to the Jean Richard Circus set. Not entirely sure why I've ended up with 3x Sierras.

IMG_5333.thumb.JPG.e99e867b05f6907503350f0bdaa5e1ae.JPG

Rest of the 1/36 stuff, a few dating back to my childhood but the rest picked-up as and when. Unboxed, playworn-but-tidy exampes never seem to fetch too much.

IMG_5390.thumb.JPG.3e08e9f5b4d9de7f72f9ae6f2aed5b77.JPG

And the randoms.

I know there was some for/against 1/36 discussion on here quite recently, because of when I grew up then I'm in the 'for' camp. I can appreciate the detail of the pre-1/36 cars, but I don't recall having many when I was young.

Trying to think of what 1/36 cars I'd like to find that have evaded me to date, probably just the Supra and Senator.

No, not even the Kojak one in the TV section.  I've restored them all myself from (IIRC) two Kojaks and a Police.  The brown on what I'm now calling the Kojak car is Ford Roman Bronze, which I think is a better match for the 1/1 car than Corgi ever managed; the green is BL Tara Green; I've forgotten exactly what the blue is.  I suppose I should probably try and get my hands on a reasonably nice original Kojak car just for comparison.  Would be quite nice to have the figure!  I have two or three of Crocker, leaning out of the back window firing his S&W.  I also acquired a damaged shell from @danthecapriman, you'll see some of it again this year.  I hope.

Alrighty then. I woke up at stupid o'clock to go to the boot sale, decided it was far too icy outside and sat around for a few hours waiting for the late start one to open (or more specifically, until it goes from £3 at 9am to £1 at 10am to get in). Managed to dodge all the fun runners going in the opposite direction along the narrow footpath from where we parked, after skirting around the road closures for the same event. Boot sale was heaving and yet again they'd allowed far too much room per plot and taken over 3/4 of the site, leaving little room for parking - hence us walking in from down the road. Anyway, there were some interesting bits to find, despite being told early on that someone has already been around scooping up all the bargains.

Very tidy Majorette Ritmo was among the nicest scores

Those Regal’s do come up really nicely with a repaint and some extra detail painted in. Your ones look fantastic Eddy👍

The Torino will look equally good in other colours too I think.
I only did two of the Regal’s, one was a tester I did in stars & stripes when I first started painting these diecast’s then I did another in metallic red. Nice things to customise, as long as you don’t scratch them opening and closing the doors!

Can I ask the collective a question please? I've got a couple of 1/32 resin shells which are in need of small repairs, such as screen pillars.

Is it possible to use regular kit glue for these, or should I use something like araldite, something with a bit more 'body'?

TIA

If they're clean breaks superglue works well for bonding resin.

I use two part epoxy when repairing resin stuff. with poly cement and superglues you don't always know how it is going to react with the resin. Also with the two part you can bridge gaps and have something that you can sand/file down when it has hardened.

Yeah that's definitely something I need to do, one of the screen pillars is completely missing, (which I should have said in the first place 🤦,) so it'll need creating with plastirod or something such.

I think I'll go down that route, cheers
