VW never made a Mk2 Golf Cabrio. It's a distorted late model plastic bumper Golf cabrio

I've got that one too and it's arguably the most relatable version as an ambulance would be based on a LWB.

These are in individual boxes, not a set.

There are so many Mini models that I now only collect the ones that appeal to me which are mainly the Corgi 1/36 items.

Here's my collection with 3 rogues in the form of the Superfast Racing Mini x2 from Jon and a restored Clubman from St Georges.

I’ve always liked the poverty spec minis, never had any interest in the Coopers etc, I saw a Billy basic City on an 84 A plate a few years ago and it looked exactly how I remember them to be before they got expensive and people did all the usual checkerboard roof and massive wheels etc.  I remember as a kid my brother had a Mini 850 at one point, can’t off hand remember the year might have been 72-73ish one. My abiding memory was the 8 inch long hole it had in the floor. 🤣

I like the Innocenti Minis, I've got a red Welly one in an odd scale. I think its weird how the Polistil 1/25 one wasn't badged as such. That's another model I really like.

Another Split_Pin package,

IMG_20250107_204827.thumb.jpg.c271d13e6d4f7b934de8b423851419c4.jpg

i'm a sucker for dealer packaging...

Another cracker from Minichamps, one I've been after for a while, but the prices people want for it on ebay has put it out of reach until now. Props to Iain for letting it go for a much more reasonable sum.

Detailing, badging, etc is up to the usual Minichamps standard,

IMG_20250107_210020.thumb.jpg.dc2269704dff87bd233f275cbfe9c408.jpg

As is the interior. Nice flat bottomed steering wheel with all the little details

IMG_20250107_205923.thumb.jpg.375298200804f40fc52dc589a01a7a46.jpg

And as usual for many Minichamps models of the era, the satnav on display.

Very happy with this one, one to join the sporty German stuff in the collection.

Is that the 1/24th scale one. I have one on my shelf.

Also on the 1/43rd Polistil there is no Innocenti badging, or mention of it on the box or base. It just has Mini Cooper on the grille.

Have those Innocentis not got the wrong rear lights for 1973, or did they get integrated reversing lights before UK-market cars did?

Innocenti Minis got the reverse lights in the early 1970s. My Cooper was built in 1975 and imported to teh UK in 1982, hence the X reg.

IMG_2437(2).thumb.JPG.c64254dd666cacf54ee0358db508283c.JPG

My Mini Minor Mk3 has long lenses but no reverse lights. This car was built in 1971.

InnoMk33.thumb.jpg.7ef4bc81e819895359318493f323c9cd.jpg

The Italian lens has a few differences to a UK one.

Italian has rounded features in the reverse lens

s-l1600.webp

UK versions have straight line in the reverse lens

s-l1600.webp

The first Innocenti Mini to have the reverse lights was the 1969 Mk2 Cooper

However, the (correct) 333 paper sticker over the box ends causes me a dilemma - all the others I could carefully open and repack without any damage - on this I'd have to cut through that sticker...

Today's diecast arrivals are quite a mixed bag from various parts of the planet.

I've seen plenty of the larger Polistil Beetles with the ghastly external door hinges, but this smaller version had slipped under my radar until now. Battered box was not helped by the poor packaging it arrived in
