Saw an eyeball peep in through a smoky cloud behind the blue door (Blue door!)

When I said Joe sent me some one laughed out loud behind the blue door (Ooh, Blue door!)

All I want to do is join the happy crowd behind the blue door (Blue door!)

 

Bought this Majorette No.205 Citroen DS 21 Ambulance from a village shop in Brittany France in 1981.  Pleased to see 1) Mum didn't give it away like many of the others; 2) it's still in ok nick!  As you can see we have another with its blue door still alive and well

Not only does it have an opening thing, IT HAS A NUMBER PLATE !

Paris registration 5212 YC 75, cast both front and rear and in tight Majorette style, very legible

Hubley were are an old US based toy maker that started at the end of teh 19th Century. I used to see some of their stuff at auctions.

Ah, Zylmex. I couldn't remember who did it. Just has the code D114 and Made in China on the base. Also no door mirror, but there does look to be one above?

How could I tell if the Transit is a Graffic Traffic? Just looked like somthing that could eventually be repainted, as the glass is intact.

White body and base, no tampo and IIRC yellow glazing.

D114 is 100% a Zylmex code, looks like the mirrors got added, going by this extremely tatty one I used to own. One of the few that has "Zyll" on the base

Later ones have the textured base with just the D114 and made in China 

Graffic Traffic will be all white including the base. I'll swap you for a standard one if you're intending to paint it

Yup, that's what it has c/w the amber windows as mentioned by Sierraman. Swap sounds good, I think you have 2-3 things put aside for me?

Ok things just took a turn for the weird. Listed the doubles out of the job lot on eBay, some sold and the name/address looked very familiar. Sure enough, the guy I bought them off of is buying back his own cars at rather a lot more than he sold them for. I wonder if I can keep doing this in an infinite loop?

Called into Tesco earlier and spotted a 2025 Matchbox A case in a metal cage waiting to be put out. Asked about it and got quite a surly response that they were busy and it would go out later. My partner and I asked some polite questions about which branch of Entertainer oversaw this Tesco, and who the area manager is, then had a wander around the rest of the shop, came back after 10 mins and asked someone else, in front of the original woman. She was more than happy to extract it and let me have a rummage, the first woman seemed a bit put out, I reckon she was keeping them back for someone as there was only a single peg space available, and that was full already.

Anyhow, I got to pick everything I wanted out of the box, starting with the one no-one else will care about

Mercedes SL is lovely, I've seen it compared to the original one online and it holds its own 

Datsun got an updated livery

This is how it should be done, no unnecessary tampos on the side, just full detail front and rear

It's a French portaloo with the roof cut off, I love it

Blue really suits the El Camino

Now what I should be most excited about is finding the Super Chase...

But of course it's actually this one

I thought it might be an RS 1700...

but when looking for pictures of one of them I came across as shot of an RS Turbo engine bay. It looks like they have turned it through 90 degrees.

I'm in Brighton for our annual Xmas shopping extravaganza... during which we seldom actually get any Xmas shopping done. I always have my eyes out for diecast tat, and thought it was going to be a busted flush... until....





Majorette Simca 1308, In pretty good nick; a few chips here and there, but it's a lovely little model, and not one I've ever held in my claw before. Paid a bit over the odds, probably, at £3, but I was getting desperate.
